It is proposed that in order to inculcate research culture among the students, they be
encouraged to present and publish research papers.
Paper Presentation:
• Students can present maximum of one paper per semester which will be given
two credits.
• The seminar/conference/congress should be one that is organised by a
recognised university, reputed college, an established or a reputed research
centre. The assembly should be national or international in nature.
• In order to get the grades the student should submit the presented research
paper in a standard research paper format along with the certificate from the
assembly organisers and conference information brochure and/or website
details.
• The validity of the seminar/conference/congress and the papers is to be done
by the HOD or the departmental committee set up by the HOD.
• Paper presentation in workshops of seminar nature may also be recognised.
• In order to avoid technical problems only single author papers are to be
recognised.
• The credits are to be given for the respective semesters in which the paper was
presented.
• The student is eligible for attendance for the conference days and the
minimum number of days required for travelling to attend the assembly.
• Students need to intimate and take prior permission from the HOD or
programme co-ordinator regarding the presentation.
• The records should be submitted to HOD/programme co-ordinator within a
week after the presentation.
Paper Publication:
• Students can publish maximum of two papers per year which are to be given
four credits each.
• The publications should be in refereed research journals either national or
international.
• Non-refereed research journals may also be considered. However, publication
in them will carry three credits.
• The validity of the journals and publication is to be done by the HOD or the
departmental committee set up by the HOD.
• In order to get the grades, the student should submit a copy of the published
article along with the original source of publication. Written intimation of
acceptance for publication by the editors/publishers may also be considered
for award of credits.
• In case of online refereed publications, the students may give a printed copy of
the published paper and give the URL of the journal and the published paper.
• In order to avoid technical problems only single author papers are to be
recognised.
