4. A Tokomak is a device used to for containment of charged particles in nuclear fusion reaction. The confinement achieved is a magnetic confinement. The construction of the tokomak is a shown in the figure below

The working of the tokomak is a follows. The transformer coil is used to induce currents in the rest of the coils. The toroidal field coils and the vertical field coils generate magnetic fields such that the particles are held in side the core area, indicated as plasma in the figure. In this problem let us make following assumptions 1. Replace the plasma by a single charged particle of charge q. 2. Coupling between the transformer coil and other coils is 100% and is 1:1. 3. The thickness of the Vertical field coils and toroidal field coils are infinitesimal and the toroidal field coils have N turns. 4. The radiuses of top, middle and bottom Vertical field coils are rt, rm, rb respectively. 5. The radius of toroidal core is ra. 6. If the mass of the charged particle in the plasma is m and its velocity is given by = + + Find a. Net Magnetic field Intensity in the system. b. Find the Force induced on the charge particle inside the toroidal coil. c. Assuming that the velocity in direction is constant. Find the trajectory (r, , z) of the particle (If possible plot them for any arbitrary initial conditions). In this case no component of velocity vector of charged particle can be zero. 5.
