Classroom
is
a
course
designed
for
"true
beginners"
of
the
language.
No
prior
study
in
French
is
required.
Technology
Requirements
Students
must
have
access
to
a
computer
and
internet
connection.
Online
assignments
may
be
completed
at
http://courses.transparent.com
and
instructor-led
class
sessions
will
take
place
in
an
online
classroom.
The
link
to
this
classroom
will
be
sent
to
you
in
advance
of
each
class
session.
Students
should
also
have
a
headset
or
built-in
speaker
with
microphone
on
their
computers.
Speakers
(or
earphones)
will
allow
you
to
hear
the
audio
in
your
online
resources
and
instruction
sessions.
The
microphone
will
allow
you
to
interact
during
class
sessions.
Please
test
your
microphone
and
speakers
or
headset
before
the
first
class
session
to
ensure
that
they
work.
If
you
need
to
buy
one,
we
recommend
the
USB
headsets
made
by
Logitech
or
Plantronics.
Course
Objectives
This
course
will
deliver
a
solid
language
foundation
for
beginners
who
also
want
to
develop
their
interactive
speaking
skills.
Learners
will
be
introduced
to
the
most
common
communicative
situations,
and
they
will
be
guided
and
encouraged
by
their
instructor
to
engage
in
conversational
exchanges
in
order
to
acquire
all
the
necessary
skills
to
maintain
basic
conversations.
Course
Sequence
This
course
is
designed
as
a
stand-alone
experience
but
may
also
be
taken
as
part
of
the
Transparent
Connect
sequence
of
courses.
Learners
will
finish
the
course
with
a
basic
foundation
in
Spanish
but
may
build
on
this
foundation
with
subsequent
courses
or
private
instruction
hours.
