Average 10 Hours per Week @ $8.40-9.60 per hour Work Study/Student Labor (job code 245)
Reporting to the designated staff member, the Challenge Course Facilitator will support the Office of Leadership Programs Challenge Course Experience (Course) by providing on-site course facilitation (outdoor and indoor) and being responsible for various administrative and operational aspects of the Course.
3. Minimum Qualifications:
a) b) c) d) e) f) g) h) i) j) k) l) Full-time student at the UConn Storrs campus in good academic standing. Comfortable with public speaking in large groups. Ability to attend and complete mandatory August training prior to the start of classes. Ability and willingness to work weekends. Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team. Capacity to multi-task and adhere to deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible way with diverse populations, on staff and with participants. Ability to complete tasks with high quality and minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service and exercise sound judgment and decision making skills. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to operate an array of office equipment including, but not limited to copier, phone, fax. Strong computer literacy and demonstrated ability in office software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher).
4. Preferred Qualifications:
a) b) Previous related experiences or skills in a similar position and/or transferable skills. Familiarity with outdoor and/or experiential education.
