Student Section: - Regarding Scholarship & Freeship Etc.

Q.1. Ans:-

Can I get the Govt. Scholarship? You are eligible for various scholarships only if your admission has been made through CAP. Students admitted under management quota cannot avail this benefit.

Q.2. Ans:-

Can I apply for all type of concession at a time? No. you can avail for only one kind of concession or scholarship at a time. For this, you have to fill the Online / specified form within the stipulated period mentioned in the notice displayed by the office section. What type of monetary benefit can I get during the course of study? Out of those which are available under Govt. of India / Govt. of Maharashtra scholarship and fee concession for individual categories. May I know the type of concession available ? Seven type of concession as listed below are available : 1) Scholarship ( Govt. of India) 2) Freeship (Govt. of Maharashtra) 3) EBC concession (Govt. of Maharashtra) 4) STC & PTC (Govt. of Maharashtra) 5) Central Sector Scholarship (Govt. of Maharashtra) 6) Merit Cum Means Minority ( Govt. of India) 7) Maharashtra State Minority (Govt. of Maharashtra)

Q.5. Ans:-

What is the upper limit on income for availing the above benefit ? The monetary limit for availing the GOI scholarship and freeship is as under:FOR SCHOLARSHIP:Category SC Annual Income amount Below 200,000/-

From where can I get the concession form ? 1. Online application is to be submitted for Scholarship / Freeship of Govt. of India for SC, OBC, VJNT, SBC category students. For ST category students manual forms available with scholarship section of college.

Q.7. Ans:-

Where shall I have to submit these forms ? what documents do I have to attach? Every application form is required to be submitted at scholarship Section of the college, as per the schedule mentioned in the notice displayed by the office. Following documents must be enclosed with Scholarship form:1) XII T.C. 2) Xth and XII mark sheet. 3) Income Certificate. 4) Caste Certificate 5) Caste Validity 6) Last year concession award letter, if any 7) Non-creamy layer certificate ( to be renew every year ) 8) If there is gap in study then Gap Certificate 9) District change certificate if one has student at institute / schools located the jurisdiction of M.S.B.H.S.E., Nagpur Division or Nagpur University. 10) Last year sanction order no. along with the date. 11) College admission reporting letter ( CAP round letter). 12) Bank Account Number of student of Nationalised bank. 13) Photographs 2 nos.

Application for submitting freeship, which documents do I have to attach? All the documents mentioned above for scholarship form except district change certificate and last year sanction order no. not required to be attached. Is there any concession available to students belonging to open category? Yes. Following concession are available for open category student:1. E.B.C.- Economically Backward :- Under this scheme whose parents income is below 100,000/- can avail this benefit. For this, one has to produce income certificate duly certified by the Tehsilder which also shows that the student belongs to economically backward class. (Eligible concession amount 50% of Tuition Fees. ) 2. P.T.C.- Primary Teacher wards concession & S.T.C. Secondary Teacher wards concession- Under this scheme a student whose father , mother is a teacher at primary / secondary school can avail this benefit on application in prescribed format. Eligible concession amount Rs. 4,300/- . 3. Central Sector Scholarship (Govt. of Maharashtra):- Under this scheme any student scoring 65% & above in previous qualifying exam and income limit of parent below 4,50,000/- is eligible to apply online. Where are the forms for S.T.C. , P.T.C. or EBC available? You can procure these forms from New Book Depot, Modi No. 3, Sitabuldi, Nagpur & also from Scholarship Section of the college. For submitting E.B.C., STC, PTC application which documents are required ? The following documents need to be attached :For EBC 1) XII T.C. 2) X and XII mark sheet. 3) XII Transfer Certificate 4) Other Backward Class Certificate. 5) Income Certificate 6) If there is gap in study then Gap Certificate 7) Collage admission reporting letter (CAP). 8) Domical Certificate

For STC & PTC 1) The filled in form should duly be endorsed by the concerned education officer. 2) X and XII Mark Sheet 3) Employer Certificate 4) Ration Card 5) XII Transfer Certificate Q.12. Ans:Is there any concession available to students belonging to Minority Community? Yes. Merit Cum Means Minority Scholarship (Govt. of India) & Govt. of Maharashtra Minority Scholarship for Minority Community Students as under: a) Muslim b) Christian c) Buddhist d) Sikh e) Parsi f) Jain. Income limit of parent below 2,50,000/- . If selected eligible amount under Govt. of India Rs. 25,000/- and under Govt. of Maharashtra Rs. 30,000/-.Online application to be submitted. Refer 1) Govt. of India website www.momascholarship.gov.in 2) Govt. of Maharashtra website www.dte.org.in Q. 13. Ans:What next after submitting the form ? After the application forms are scrutinized by concerned Govt. authorities, discrepancies are informed to the students by college for necessary compliance. If there is no communication to an applicant as above, it is implied that the submitted form is correct in all respects and shall be proceeded further. In case a student fail to comply with the discrepancies within stipulated time given by office, his/her claim for said scholarship stands rejected. Q.14. Ans:When shall I receive the scholarship amount? Out of the scholarship amount of Govt. of India maintenance allowance will be directly credited to the students bank account by Social Welfare Authorities. Exam fees on receipt from Social Welfare Department will be refunded to the student. Q.15. Ans:Q.16. Ans:Is there renewal procedure for scholarship and freeship? Yes, Online application is to be submitted for renewal of scholarship and freeship . Which documents are required for renewal? Following documents are required for renewal:1) Application form 2) Current year examination result 3) Current year Income Certificate along with other certificates mentioned at Sr. No. 26. Whichever applicable

Q.17. Ans :-

Can students admitted under TFWS avail benefit of GOI Scholarship / Freeship or any kind of concession as listed above? No.
