Activity

Create a blog post called "Sketchup House" and use the tags: sketchup, geometry, williamsp2 Use the Simple Template - Meters

. Create a house with the following features:

2 rectangular prisms 2 square prisms 2 triangular prisms 2 cylinders 2. Create a video of your house with 6-8 scenes. Save your video into your My Videos folder. Upload your video to your You Tube account. Use the embed code and embed the code into your blog using %CODE1%. You may not import any of the main figures above. Limit the number of imported figures to three. Avoid working inside your house much, as this proves to be quite difficult.

2. Use the measurement tool and the Measurements toolbar (be sure the toolbar is turned on) to find the lengths of line segments and calculate the measurements listed below. Show all work in One Note. Upload your work in One Note to Scribd and embed the work into your same blog.

Take a screen shot of each figure and insert the picture above the work to clearly label each figure. Show
your formula, substitution step, and answer for each of the following in your blog. Find the area and circumference of 2 circles. Find the perimeter and area of 2 rectangles. Find the perimeter and area of 2 triangles. Find the surface area and volume of the prisms and cylinders.
