Youth Week is the largest annual celebration for young people in Australia. It is
supported by Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments to promote a
positive profile of young people in their communities. It is a unique opportunity
for young people to highlight their issues and concerns and express their ideas and
opinions.
This month we celebrate YOUTH WEEK - and welcome everyone to participate. Join us on Saturday
4th April 2009 at the Bishop Street Park (Eagleby) Youth Festival. The Performace Team will be
performing at 11am and 2pm. We will also be hosting workshops at 12pm and 1pm. This is a FREE
event with rides, music, giveaways, and more. Please invite your family and friends to come!

In June we will be participating in the Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge, at the Logan
Entertainment Centre! We are very excited to forge the way with Polynesian Dancing being included Bishop Street Park
in a mainstream dance competition. It will be a wonderful opportunity to share the culture, but also to Eagleby
experience the training and dedication it takes to win a competition! 11am - 20min. performance
Entries have closed, but we have purchased a few extra spots. We encourage anyone who still feels the 2pm - 20min. performance
