INTRODUCTION The goal for which to undertake the completion of this manual is to learn how to install a Database Management System (DBMS). Because the DBMS are important and that they allow you to interact with a large amount of data.

REQUIREMENTS TO INSTALL WORKBENCH

To run MySQL on Windows, you need the following: An operating system 32-bit Windows, as 9x, Me, NT, 2000, XP, or Windows Server 2003. It is strongly recommended to use a Windows operating system based on NT (NT, 2000, XP, 2003) since they allow you to run the MySQL server as a service. Support for TCP / IP Enough space on the hard drive to unpack, install, and create the databases according to their requirements. Generally we recommend a minimum of 200 megabytes.4

INFORMATION

MySQL Workbench is a visual tool for database design that integrates software development, database administration, database design, development and maintenance for the database system MySQL. He succeeds fabFORCE.net DBDesigner 4, and replaces the previous set of software, MySQL GUI Tools Bundle. From MySQL Workbench 5.2 the application has been developed a general database GUI application. Apart from modeling physical database that has a SQL editor and database server management interface, replacing the old MySQL GUI Tools Bundle. The new application however is not yet compatible with data migration, which was a part of the old tool set.

STEPS FOR INSTALLING MYSQL WORKBENCH 5.2, The first step is to have the installer mysql-workbench, as it has the double-click installer gives. The installer is shown in the following image. Note: It is recommended to have the latest version of mysql-workbench.

Below you will see a window like the one shown below, only given "next".

To verify that it is installed, you can go home and there will be as shown in the image below.

CONCLUSION

This tool is very good from my point of view, because you can do everything that is needed for database design, implementation and management of the same, and it is easier and convenient to use this software if you are interested in databases.
