Economics Scholarships

What do Kofi Annan, Diane von Furstenberg, John Elway and Cate Blanchett have in common, aside from the obvious name recognition? At one time, the terms supply and demand whipped them all into frenzies because each majored in economics at their respective universities. Undecided students may be leery about giving economics a chance especially if they are not math people but the truth is a degree in economics can open many doors after collegedoors that dont require complex algorithms and lengthy equations to access. Sure, some econ majors trade treasury bond options or study employment (and unemployment) trends but thats not the only route to take: Plenty of others put their knowledge toward crime, obesity and political research or branch out into related fields like journalism, education and finance. Or you could end up a Secretary-General of the United Nations, fashion designer, NFL quarterback or Oscar-winning actress, if the names above are any indication. Economics is quickly climbing the ranks as one of the most popular and highest paying college majors, especially when paired with a second major like business or a foreign language. Because of this, economics scholarship opportunities are being offered to majors from virtually every organization be it local, collegiate and corporate imaginable. Below are just a few economics scholarship awards but plenty of others like essay scholarships, video scholarships and academic scholarships, are also available. To find them, complete a free scholarship search at Scholarships.com.
