Casey Force is an outstanding educator, and I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of her. I have known Casey as a graduate student throughout her program at Drake University School of Education. It is a pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for her, as she will be an asset to the community of educators, students and parents in which she joins in the near future. Casey has a passion for students. She has eagerly pursued and processed information related to addressing the educational needs of the whole child. She wants to know theory and practice that is the most effective as it is applied towards learning success for all students and differentiating to meet individual needs. Casey exceeded expectations in her coursework and participation. She has shown in her assignments that she is able to know, understand and furthermore, apply and synthesize information presented in class into her assignments as well as her practicum experiences. Casey has a strong ability to process information and put it to use in a way that is best for the learning lives of students. Casey is reflective of and dedicated to her work as a future teacher. She attended to all of her work the utmost dedication to detail. She gave each in-class learning experience and every processing assignment the attention it deserved, not to only earn points, but to learn the material to apply it as a future teacher. Casey has also shown that she is able to be reflective. She recognizes that being reflective is essential as a teacher. She knows that there is always more to learn and staying current on best practices and reflecting on what works best for students is important to their success. She has shown this in class discussions, assignments and our one-on-one conversations. Communication is an additional strength of Caseys, as she is articulate in communicating interpersonally as well as sharing her insights in a group setting. Casey puts to use her communication skills as a true professional. On a number of occasions, Casey took the time to thoroughly communicate with me throughout the semester to keep me informed about her life, insights and coursework. She always approached situations as a professional with poise, clarity and a proactive attitude. I highly recommend Casey Force for a position as an educator.
