Notes

NV State Standard: This is the first lesson in a unit about E.10.3.1- Identify forms of money used Make sure to have at least one copy economics. This is the 6th lesson in a unit about the economy and money. In this lesson students will learn about the various resources used to make goods. Students will use the Houghton Mifflin 3rd grade social studies textbook: communities, pages 292-295.

Write vocabulary words on board. Have sample of comparison chart ready Gather old magazines

TUESDAY week #2

This is the 7th lesson in a unit about economics and money. During this lesson students will learn about international trade. Students will use the Houghton Mifflin 3rd grade social studies textbook: communities, pages 300-303 for a resource.

E.12.0- Students will explore trends in international trade, the impact of trade on the U.S. economy and the role of exchange rates. Student-Friendly StandardI will identify benefits of international trade and differentiate between imports and exports.

WEDNESDAY week #2

This is the final day in a unit about economies and money. Students will review what they have learned throughout the unit and take a formal assessment. Students will use the Houghton Mifflin 3rd grade social studies textbook: communities, pages 266-303 for references.
