tif) Fourth Sunday of Easter Living Faith in April: John 10:27-30 I have made you light to the Gentiles, that you may be an instrument of salvation to the ends of the earth. (Acts 13:47) After Paul and Baranabas were rejected by the Jews, they shook the dust from their feet and rejoiced in the Holy Spirit. Would you continue to have such confidence following persecution? How has God given you strength to perservere through difficult times? How has he protected and sheltered you? In light of the Gospel reading, what voices do you follow in your daily life? Is Jesus one of them? 320 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. What does the poor man do at the rich mans door, the sick man in the presence of his physician, the thirsty man at a limpid stream? What they do, I do before the Eucharistic God. I pray. I adore. I love. (St. Francis of Assisi) Have you ever made a Holy Hour before? If not, let me explain, contact Judy at 330212-0926. This Sunday is the Fourth Sunday of the Easter Season, also commonly called Good Shepherd Sunday, is a time within our annual liturgical year when we take a moment of special prayer dedicated to those in the Church discerning their vocation. Our vocational commitment is the way an initiated Catholic models Jesus own self-giving. As a man or woman in the Body of Christ, how we gift ourselves how we give ourselves away in loving commitment as a married person, as a religious sister or brother, as an ordained priest or deacon, or as a consecrated single person will be a defining characteristic of our discipleship. We therefore pray today for one another in our parish and diocese so that Jesus will shepherd us through the Holy Spirit to encourage, strengthen, and build up the local Church community as we live out Jesus own mission through our lives.

Often home mission priests and lay ministers require special training to attend to the unique needs of their faith communities. Your support is needed. Please help strengthen the Church at home by making a generous gift to next weeks appeal.

Why a Holy Hour: Not only does our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament give us the courage to cope with our natural fears, He also give us the ability to undertake great things for the sake of His name and the power to undergo great trials in our loyalty to His cause.
