Organizational Relationship: Report To: Supervises: Coordinates with: Terminal Manager DGM Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Manager KICT Department Managers, OEM, Contractors & suppliers.

Job Summary:

Manages and controls all day to day activities of the Engineering Department & ensure that the Maintenance Program of the group is properly planned, implemented and accomplished according to company policies and budget. To ensure that highest equipment availability & reliability is achieved through close monitoring of critical functions & Key Performance Indicators. III. Duties and Responsibilities: a. Principal Duties: 1. Maintenance of Terminal equipments and infrastructure. 2. Daily inspection of area of responsibility to determine problems that need immediate attention. 3. Conducting hands-on inspection of Terminal Equipment and supervision of Critical engineering activities. 4. Ensures that company policies & procedures are strictly adhered to.

5. Development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, guidelines and appropriate information systems. 6. Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of relevant objectives and targets. 7. Prepare annual maintenance capital and expense budgets. 8. Manage the cost of inventory by implementation just in time stock levels based on replacement evaluation of replacement parts for plants and equipment. 9. Ensure equipment reliability and performance meet required production standard through equipment performance monitoring statistics & by maintaining proper maintenance programs. 10. Manage and minimise labour costs associated with operational plant maintenance activities by effective control and utilisation of resources. 11. Analyzing day to day breakdown occurrences and recommending / implementing corrective and preventive actions. 12. Coordinating with Crane Maintenance team and Operations regarding the implementation of scheduled Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Works completion on time and within acceptable budgeted cost. 13. Conducting audit checks of maintenance activities by ensuring proper work procedure is being followed, documents are complete, signed and inspected by the maintenance supervisors. 14. Reviewing and approving purchase requisitions for spare parts, materials and tool requirements for the proper maintenance of terminal equipment and facilities. 15. Ensuring that all engineering work is performed to the highest standard to meet operational & safety requirements 16. Acceptance of newly delivered terminal equipment according to Corporate Standard. b. Subsidiary Activities:

1. Evaluating subordinates performance through the skills matrix. 2. Identifying subordinates skills improvement through training needs analysis. 3. Providing necessary training to improve competency & skill of engineering personnel. 4. Recommending appropriate disciplinary action to base on the established administrative policies. 5. Establish and maintain appropriate levels of staff to efficiently maintain plant and equipment by ensuring appropriate competency based on tertiary programmers are undertaken. 6. Reviewing and approving manpower recommended by shift supervisors. 7. Approving subordinate leave of absence. 8. Interviewing candidates for position as Engineering Staff. 9. Conducting meetings to motivate team members in performing their duties and responsibilities well. c. Combination Tasks: 1. Undertake engineering audits for the purpose of checking compliance with company standards procedures for the procurement, warehousing and engineering maintenance particularly in respect of Operationally Critical Components (OCCs) which could cause catastrophic failure, personnel injury, third party damage and business interruption. 2. Identify and evaluate new equipment, machinery, technology and systems available world-wide. 3. Higher Education and formal qualification to Bachelor Degree standard or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical related discipline. Work Experience: least 8 to 10 years work experience in Management of Engineering Department especially in port operation. Male 40 to 50 years old Computer literacy skills. Has an analytical mind and has an above average communication skill. Works in an office environment
