is the pioneer in the country in the manufacture and marketing of Car Polishes, Car Care Products, Speciality Oils, Lubricants and Greases, etc., under the brand name .

Though the first manufacturing unit was set up in the State of West Bengal, the Company under its expansion scheme established a major manufacturing unit at Tatisilwai, a suburb of Ranchi in the State of Jharkhand (formerly Bihar). From its humble beginning with one single product, viz., Auto Polish, the Company, in course of time, diversified its range of products and presently manufacturing and marketing a broad spectrum of products ranging from all types of Wax based Polishes, Hydraulic Brake Fluids, Coolants etc., at the said Tatisilwai Factory.

Subsequently in the year 1985, a second unit came up in the State of Jharkhand at Hazaribagh Road, Butty, Ranchi, for the manufacture of Automotive/Industrial Lubricants, Greases, Speciality Oils etc. This unit also met with instant response from its valued customers. With a view to cater to the need of public more efficiently and effectively, the Company came up with two more smaller units, one at the Urla Industrial Area of Raipur, Chattisgarh (formerly Madhya Pradesh) and another at the industrial area at Vichoor, Manali. in the State of Tamil Nadu. A full fledged Research & Development Centre has also been set up at the aforesaid Butty Factory of the Company where development work in the filed of Surface Chemistry & Tribology are being pursued to develop and market new products incorporating the latest state of the art technology. The Company has completed its 60 years of unblemished manufacture & production of its range of products and won the trust and confidence

of consumers. The company has been awarded certificates by the following agencies as a mark of recognition of constant maintenance of quality system and producing products at par with international standards and quality:

Today, the Company has nearly 18 branches/ depots along the length and breadth of the country covering all major cities to have a broad based marketing network. The Company has a sound distribution system of its range of products through appointment of dealers and distributors. Besides, the national networks, the Company has an overseas Branch Office at Yangaon(Myanmar).

Production

Major stress has been given to create and develop Automatic Systems in the production line of all the four manufacturing units of the company. Salient features of the production features are: 1. Automatic Bulk Unloading and Loading of basic raw materials like Base Lube Oils; Lower Distillation Cut Hydrocarbon Liquids; Polyhydric Alcohols; Denatured Alcohols etc. 2. Industrial Type Super Centrifuges for clearing liquid raw materials from all physically separable contaminants including water. 3. Extensive pipeline systems with Gear and Centrifugal Pumps for transfer of base liquids to Reaction Kettles and down stream

filters and centrifuges to ensure contaminant free liquids for reaction. 4. Mechanical Stirring as well as Close Circuit Circulation devices for mixing and reaction purpose. 5. Automatic temperature control device during processing stage. 6. Automatic filling, sealing and labeling devices to handle bulk manufacture handling and despatch of finished goods to destinations. 7. Conveyor System and Mechanical Trolleys for easy mobility. To cope up with increasing demands of the Company's varied range of products, adequate and complete facilities have been developed for Computer Aided Accounting; Inventory Control; Despatch Programme and Billing etc. The Company's Corporate Head quarters at Kolkata is fully computerised to carry out the business of different disciplines.

Quality Control

have an established Quality Assurance Plan and Programme based on the norms setup by ISO 9001:2000. The Quality Assurance Plan is an integral part of the system and program for the manufacture and supply of quality goods to the ultimate user. The Quality Management System as practiced in the Company's four production units include responsibility to produce products (both polishes and Lubricants) that meets customers' needs and applicable regulatory requirement. Manufacturing occupies pivotal position in the purview of the Company's management system. The Quality Assurance Plan covers right from inspection to verification and finally certification of :

1. All incoming raw materials are inspected for conforming to approve specification for quality and approved for issue to the production department for the manufacturing purpose. Similarly the packaging materials are inspected for conforming to approve specifications 2. In Process Materials - during production stage samples of In Process Materials are drawn and inspected for batch process control as per established quality planned flowchart and corrective actions taken, if required 3. Finished products are inspected and certified before filling and packing The Quality Control Laboratory at Ranchi and the Field Testing Laboratories attached to the Production units at Raipur and Chennai are fully equipped with all the testing equipment and apparatus to test completely the products as per requirements of relevant specifications.

All the Company's products are designed to meet international standards of quality assurance. There is an 'After Sales Service Department' manned by technically competent persons to deal with any query from customers on technical matters as well as selection and use of Company's wide range of products. Training of personnel engaged in manufacture of products is an important functional aspects of the Company's Quality Assurance and Control system.
