Table Points:
The students desk will be placed in teams. Each team will be rewarded for following directions, paying attention, staying focused, working hard, and working will together. A running tally will be kept on the board. The tally points will be totaled at the end of each week. The individuals on the winning team will each be given twenty dollars. (See Individual Rewards for how this money may be spent.)
Individual Rewards:
Small denominations of money will be given out often to encourage individual work and good behavior. The students will keep their money in Ziploc baggies in their desks. The money may be used to buy rewards at any time. However, it must be done in the following manner: At the end of the day, the student will pay the classroom banker the money for their chosen reward. The banker will write the students name and desired reward on a list. After school, the teacher will review the list and write the date on which the student can redeem their reward. Following is a sample list of possible rewards and prices. The actual list, however, would be created through student participation. $25 = 1 homework pass (can only be used on designated assignments) $30 = a 15 minute computer pass $50 = the use of an office rolling chair at their desk for the day $80 = the use of a large exercise ball for a chair for the day If students preform special acts of kindness, extra effort, helping others, etc., they can sign their name on the Class Bingo chart. Numbers will be drawn each Friday and students may choose a reward from a student generated list.
Individual Behavior:
Individual behavior will be managed through a Class Check List and a classroom Citizenship Binder. If a student disrupts teaching time, a warning will be given and the teacher will place a checkmark next to the students name on a class list on the teachers desk. If a second disruption is made by the same student, a second checkmark will be given and the student will lose break time. See the following documents: Your Choice list and Think it Through citation for further consequences.

Classroom Rules:
1. Be Respectful 2. Be Responsible 3. Be a Team Player
Classroom Jobs:
Classroom jobs will be reassigned every two weeks. Sticks will be drawn to choose students for the jobs. If the chosen student has already had a job within the last month, they must decline. Another stick will then be chosen. The student may choose any job from the list that has not already been chosen. At the end of the two week period, the student will be paid $20 in classroom bucks. If the student fails to do their job, or needs constant reminders to do their job, they will be fired and a new student will be chosen. The jobs include: bankers (2), floor checkers (2), supply assistants (2), librarian (1), mailbox attendants (2), and lunch attendants (2).
Distribution/Collection of Materials:
1. Papers will be handed out to each table group by the two supply assistants. 2. Papers will be first collected by each team captain and then handed to the two supply assistants who will place the completed papers in the correction tray. 3. If materials are larger than just paper (ex. art supplies, science supplies, etc.) each team captain will be responsible for collecting the necessary supplies for their team.
