Dario Cortez 3/1/2013 Benson, Bruce Ellis, and Norman Wirzba. The Phenomenology of Prayer.

New York: Fordham UP, 2005. Print.

This book goes in depth when it comes to prayer which is an essential part to become spiritually healthy. It shows how to pray and its forms and rules. Though it may not be as helpful as others, it provides a good background of prayer and hopefully its benefits in a spiritual health situation. I think it is credible and useful for my paper because it, again, focuses on an a specific aspect of spiritual health that migh help me concrete my theme and topic.

Brown, Candy Gunther. Testing Prayer: Science and Healing. Cambridge, MA: Harvard UP, 2012. Print.
Though prayer has always been a situation dealing with faith and beliefs, science now intervenes and begins to find evidence behind prayer. This book informs the reader of real-life events and the proof science has to say about. Published by the Harvard University Press, I can say that this source is very credible and will aid me in the area of proving the intangible to the tangible; which is the supernatural power of prayer. This will help me organize my thoughts and hopefully filter out the unnecessary and probably focus on prayer.

Gunderson, Gary, and James R. Cochrane. Religion and the Health of the Public: Shifting the Paradigm. New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2012. Print.
Through this book, I can learn the significance religion and health play in the public and society. Shown by close observations, I can see the correlations in society and the contribution it has on people. In the end, it will help me have a better understanding about the aid you can have while being spiritually healthy and how it affects your health. It is very

helpful in this case since it is broad but delivers the message about the health benefits of practicing the usual religious rituals.

Curtis, Heather D. Faith in the Great Physician: Suffering and Divine Healing in American Culture, 1860-1900. Baltimore: Johns Hopkins UP, 2007. Print.
This resource helped me understand the importance of prayer and faith in America. Had many testimonies to back up its efficiency and prowess. IT also contained different perspectives when it came to beliefs contained in the Christian community. In overall it helped me with how and why. Its validity was sufficient since it is documented history and proof that is known to many and available for all.

Matthews, Dale A., and Connie I. Clark. The Faith Factor: Proof of the Healing Power of Prayer. New York: Viking, 1998. Print.
This resource mainly centered on faith and the ability it possesses. It helped me cover the fact of how prayer is carried through and realized in life. Faith is the engine for a prayer. It was credible due its statistics and testimonies like many other resources I have.
