FUNCTIONAL CHART:

CHIEF NURSE: The Chief Nurse is accountable for the management of the nursing service department to promote and provide quality nursing service. His/her job goes beyond supervision and administration of nursing department. He/she is accountable for creating and articulating vision, goals and mission and directs new subordinates to attain goals.

ASSISTANT CHIEF NURSE: The Assistant Chief Nurse shares the same responsibility with the CN. He/she is responsible for the supervision and direction of the whole nursing staff through direct interaction with supervisors & head nurses, staff nurses and NA during his/her duty.

TRAINING OFFICER: The training officer of the nursing department is responsible in determining the training needs of the nursing staff. He/she will be the one to formulate training design and budgetary requirements needed for the training upon the approval of the Chief Nurse.

NURSE SUPERVISOR: The nurse supervisor is accountable for direct monitoring, evaluation and guidance to all nursing personnel on all areas in the hospital. He/she also reports and makes decisions/actions to the problems encountered during the course of duty.

STATION HEAD NURSE: The station head is responsible for leading and managing all nursing activities w/in the station. He/she secures that all patients needs are met through comprehensive review of nursing care plans, its implementation, patient care and security that all needed equipments/devices are fully functional for patients comfort. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in each patient in his/her shift.

EMERGENCY ROOM HEAD NURSE: The Emergency Room head nurse is responsible for the supervision and management of all patients with acute, extensive and emergent cases in the emergency room. His/her task is to ensure that patients care and safety is secured even in the fast tract scenario.

OPERATING ROOM HEAD NURSE: The Operating Room head nurse responsibility is to ensure that all patients for surgical evaluation, operation and care receive quality and safe nursing service. It is his/her responsibility to guide, supervise, teach and direct his/her subordinates in the care of the patients.

DELIVERY ROOM HEAD NURSE: The Delivery Room head nurse is responsible to assess, assist, support and ensure that its subordinates provide quality care to both the mother and child and promote a warm and comforting environment in the Delivery Room.

NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT HEAD NURSE: The NICU head nurse assists, directs, and manages his/her department. His/her responsibility is to ensure that quality care is provided to every neonate that is admitted in his/her unit.

INFECTION CONTROL NURSE: Infection Control nurse is responsible for the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infection and other infection outbreaks in the hospital by ensuring infection risks reduction and elimination in the workplace. He/she holds the whole hospital processes ensuring quality services while limiting infectious outbreaks.

WARD STAFF NURSE: The responsibility of the staff nurse at the wards is to augment a physicians ability to provide medical services to patients, collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations and provide direct patient care services.

EMERGENCY ROOM STAFF NURSE: Emergency Room staff nurse is responsible to provide immediate care to all patients coming in the Emergency Room based on the triage evaluation. Dignity and privacy are respected at all times.

OPERATING ROOM STAFF NURSE: Operating Room staff nurse is responsible to provide holistic care to all patients undergoing surgical procedure without compromising safety and quality care.

DELIVERY ROOM STAFF NURSE: The Delivery Room staff nurse is responsible to provide holistic care to mother and child and promote a warm and comforting environment in the Delivery Room without compromising safety and quality care.

NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT STAFF NURSE: The NICU staff nurse is responsible in ensuring safe and quality nursing care to all the newborns admitted at their unit.

NURSE ATTENDANT: The Nurse attendant is responsible in ensuring safe and quality care by doing bedside nursing and getting the vital signs of the patients.
