Supervised 7 responsible for purchasing, scheduling, shipping/receiving, inventory management. Managed numerous large/complex fabrication projects. Position eliminated due to declining sales.
Increased inventory turns more than 50% in first year. Developed tools to dramatically improve job readiness, eliminating work being released late. Forged strategic partnerships with key suppliers resulting in material cost reductions of at least 10%.

TSS Technologies, Cincinnati OH, Advanced machining services. Aug 2009-Jul 2010.

Mark Andy/Comco, Milford OH, manufacturer of flexographic presses and rewinders. Nov 2008-June 2009.
Materials Manager. Responsible for Purchasing, Production Control, Inventory, Shipping & Receiving. Managed startup and integration of an acquired bankrupt competitor, restoring a supply chain that had been dead for 6+ months. Upon successful integration (to another facility) the Cincinnati plant was closed down, eliminating all positions. Led turnaround of a bankrupt company, resolved hostile supplier relations, helped transfer production back to US plant. Entire project completed within 3 months. Established lean-oriented workcells manufacturing highly complex and custom-engineered machinery

Manufacturing Consultant. Responsible for training clients of ERP system, as well as business process audits/consulting. Developed education program for all new ERP modules and related products. CTL Aerospace, Cincinnati OH, manufacturer of advanced composite products mainly used in aerospace and defense. 1998-2005.
Materials Manager. Responsible for Purchasing, Production Control, Inventory, Shipping & Receiving, Cost Accounting, and one production department. Promoted onto management team that turned losses of $1.6 million to breakeven within 12 months Achieved Inventory reductions that freed up $250k in cash within first 60 days Improved delivery to key customer from 40% to 90+%

Production Control Manager. Responsible for material planning, procurement and coordination of manufacturing resources for all government and GE products. Implemented kanban system reducing inventory by $700k and scrap by $200k in first year Helped convert two key product groups from batch to lean workcells, supporting 30% increased volume

Taught and implemented drum-buffer-rope scheduling techniques (The Goal by Eli Goldratt) resulting in 35% WIP reduction ($500,000) within 60 days
