Sizes: (S - 32, M - 36, L - 40, XL - 44) Gauge: 21 sts by 28 rows over 4 in stockinette st. Needles: 2 straight or 1 circular US 7 / 4.5mm. Approximate Yarn Requirements: (8, 9, 11, 12) balls Lang Lunar, 90m/50g each. Notions: Tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers. Lace Pattern: Row 1 [RS]: k2, *yo, k8, yo, k1; rep from *, end k1. Row 2: k3, *p8, k3; rep from * to end. Row 3: k3, *yo, k8, yo, k3; rep from * to end. Row 4: k4, *p8, k5; rep from *, end last rep k4. Row 5: k4, *yo, k8, yo, k5; rep from *, end last rep k4. Row 6: k5, *p8, k7; rep from *, end last rep k5. Work all purl sts in this row loosely. Row 7: k5, *k4togtbl, k4tog, k7; end last rep k5. Row 8: k all sts. Hips
CO (84, 93, 102, 111) sts using longtail CO. Row 1 [RS]: knit all sts. Row 2: knit all sts. Rows 3-26: work rows 1-8 of lace patt 3 times. Rows 27-58: work RS decrease row, followed by 3 rows of stockinette st, 8 times. (68, 77, 86, 95) sts. Rows 59-64: work in stockinette st, ending after a WS row. Work should measure 10 from CO, with lace pattern slightly stretched.

Waist

Sizes 32 and 36 Rows 65-96: work increase row, followed by 3 rows of stockinette st, 8 times. (84, 93, - , - ) sts. Sizes 40 and 44 Rows 65-96: work increase row, followed by a purl row, twice. Then, work increase row, followed by 3 rows of stockinette, 7 times. ( - , - , 106, 115) sts. All Sizes Rows 97-100: work in stockinette st, ending after a WS row. Work should measure 15 from CO, with lace pattern slightly stretched. pg 1

Armhole
Rows 101 and 102: BO (4, 5, 7, 8) sts at beginning of next two rows, working in stockinette st to end of row. Row 103: work RS decrease row. Row 104: purl all sts. Repeat these last two rows (3, 4, 6, 7) more times. (68, 73, 78, 85) sts. Work even in stockinette until work measures (8.5, 8.5, 9, 9.5) inches from underarm, ending after a WS row. BO 5 sts at beginning of next 4 rows. BO remaining (48, 53, 58, 65) sts. Cut yarn, leaving a tail at least 14 long. Secure all other ends.

Front
Work exactly as back until work measures 10 from CO (Row 64), ending after a WS row.

Waist

Armhole

Row 65: k (28, 32, 36, 40) sts, pm, M1L, k (12, 13, 14, 15), M1R, pm, k to end. Rows 66-68: work in stockinette st. Row 69: k to first m, sm, M1L, k to next m, M1R, sm, k to end. Rows 70-72: work in stockinette st. Rows 73-80: repeat last 4 rows 2 more times. Row 81: k2, k2tog, k to first m, sm, M1L, k to next m, M1R, sm, k to 2 before end, ssk, k2. Rows 82-84: work in stockinette st. Rows 85-96: repeat last 4 rows 3 more times. (76, 85, 94, 103) sts. Rows 97-100: continue, increasing in pattern only between ms, until work measures 15 from CO, with lace pattern slightly stretched, ending after a WS row. BO stitches and decrease as described in back instructions, keeping continuity of slouch increases throughout. Work until (42, 45, 46, 49) sts between ms, remove ms at that point, then work in stockinette st until work measures (8.5, 8.5, 9, 9.5) inches from underarm. (82, 89, 90, 97) sts. BO 5 sts at beg of next 4 rows. BO remaining (62, 69, 70, 77) sts. Cut yarn, leaving a tail at least 14 long. Secure all other ends.

Sleeve (make 2)
CO (57, 57, 66, 75) sts using longtail CO. Row 1 [RS]: knit all sts. Row 2: knit all sts. Rows 3-26: work rows 1-8 of lace patt 3 times. Rows 27-30: work in stockinette st. Rows 31-32: BO (4, 5, 7, 8) sts at beginning of next 2 rows. Work decrease row followed by 3 rows of stockinette st (5, 7, 8, 7) times. Work decrease row followed by a row of purling (7, 3, 2, 5) times. (25, 27, 32, 35) sts. BO 3 sts at beginning of next three rows. On the fourth row, BO 3 sts, p (5, 6, 6, 8) sts, p2tog (2, 2, 4, 4) times, p to end. BO remaining (11, 13, 16, 19) sts. Secure ends.

Finishing

Using these measurements, block separate pieces by pinning them out while dry, then spraying them with a light mist of water to make them damp, not drenched. Use tails from front and back bind-offs to graft shoulders. Attach sleeve caps to armholes. Sew seam from the hips to the underarm, and down the sleeve. Optional: leave the lace pattern sections unseamed for an open, summery look.
