1. e-BRIDGE Fleet Management System 1.1 Outline

e-BRIDGE Fleet Management System, hereafter called EFMS, is the application to display the alert state and to manage the counter information of devices on the network Only the necessary counter information by the setting is able to be regularly generated as a report and to send a chart and a report result to the operators by e-mail. Also, if some alerts occurred, the alert massages are able to be sent to the operators by e-mail on the settings.

1.2 EFMS Recommended Setting

- Default Poll Cycle
In the default setting, the counter is collected from the device every 60 minutes. In the case that the counter does not have to be collected many times in a day, following setting is recommended for the performance improvement. Change [Default Poll Cycle] of the [Device Settings] tab in [Server Settings] from 60 minutes to bigger value either 360 minutes or value to multiplied seven by the number of device.

1.3 EFMS Recommended Environments for Registering the Devices Department Managed
When registering multiple devices which manage departments, it is strongly recommended to install the EFMS server in the following environments. PC: Exclusive use for EFMS CPU: Dual Core or more Memory: 1GByte or more (2 GByte or more when 50 devices or more will be registered)
If the EFMS is used in other than the above environments: - The CPU usage may become high so that the performance for the system and other application become low. - The login the EFMS may fail.

2. New features 2.1 User can select multiple devices with pressing CTRL key or by clicking folder, and delete selected devices from right click menu on Tree.

1. When you use the report function, Monthly or Monthly (based on cut-off-date) requires the defined data of more than 1 month for both accumulation and difference. When the report booking is executed for the period without the above data; 1. no counter data is displayed in the output file, and 2. no counter data is attached to the email. When you re-register "Registration key" on Registration/License, the key might not be produced. In that case, please feel free to contact the service technician.

2.

3.

When something is wrong with the device in the cloning, the cloning on EFMS might not be completed or an error might be likely to occur. If the cloning is not completed correctly for a long time (more that 30 min.), please confirm the device 4. When you login, if you enter a wrong login name or password, the following issues might be occurred. 1 Another error except "Login failure" might be displayed 2 There might be no response with "connecting..." Please confirm the login name and password, however if you fail to login, please restart EFMS client. 9 / 15

"LOGIN" is supported as SNMP authentication method in EFMS. If each name of Read community and Read write community on the device is different form that on EFMS, the check box of "Monitor this Device" on Device Info of Manage Devices might be automatically checked off. On Registration/License of Server Settings, if the value of "Number of requested License" is smaller than the value of the registered devices and requests for the license, EFMS server might stop by the registration of the produced licenses. In that case, please restart EFMS server and change to the bigger value than the registered devices, then finally re-register the licenses.

7.

8.

When the devices tried to be deleted by EFMS during updating the device information of the counters etc, the devices cannot be deleted with an error dialog display. If the delete of the devices is failed, the device counter information might not be correct .Please delete the device again about 10 minutes later. Supported OSs language provides English. Please refer to Quick Start Guide (page: 13) for the kind of Supported OS Regarding machines listed below, the restriction of the cloning target destination is selected by the device of the same model (series) and version as the cloning source. Double-byte characters cannot be used for the task name for the firmware update. Please use English one byte characters and available one-byte symbols (Alphanumeric and some symbols). When the EFMS server is highly loaded (when [CPU Usage] in the server is always 100% due to the counter data update or maintenance of the inner database), you may not log in. If you fail in login successively, please log in after some time later. (The waiting time is influenced by the number of registered devices and departments.) When you cannot log in and [The maximum number of concurrent sessions is reached] is displayed, please wait for about 180 minutes and log in again. When the device is deleted and registered immediately after the EFMS server starts up, each item of the cloning data obtaining screen may be grayed out and the data may not be obtained. When this phenomenon occurs, please uncheck the checkbox of "Monitor this device" in the device setup screen and wait for 5 minutes. Then please check the checkbox of "Monitor this device" again.

The performance is sometimes deteriorated at the first day of each month. Deletion process of the expired data (3 months or more for daily counter retention period and 15 months or more for monthly counter retention period) is automatically executed at the first day of each month. When this process is executed, the response speed of the EFMS server may be slow. Please wait for the data cleanup to be completed and then proceed with the operation. When backup data of the EFMS to which the license is registered is restored to the other PC's EFMS, reacquisition of the license at the restored EFMS should be executed without changing the item of [network configuration drop down list] in the license registration screen. When it is changed, you may fail in license acquisition. If you have changed the item, please cancel the license registration, close the server set screen, open the screen again, and execute the registration again. When the restoration is executed during counter update or device information update, the restoration may not be completed. Please follow the procedure shown below for restoration. <Restoration Procedure> (1) Uncheck the checkbox of Monitor this device on the device management screens of all devices. (2) Restart the EFMS server PC. (3) Execute restoration. When restoration is not completed, please execute following operations. (1) Uninstall the EFMS server. Be sure to select DROP at the database removal when uninstallation. (2) Reinstall the EFMS server and execute restoration from the EFMS client.

When the error code DSP-005 is displayed in the alert history, the tree view sometimes is not changed. If so, please uncheck the checkbox of [Monitor this device] in the [Device management] screen of the device and perform storage, and then check the checkbox again and perform storage. When you fail in file transfer, please check whether the other users (EFMS clients) are not implementing the functions above, and execute the functions again.

18.

Do not delete the device for 5 minutes after the EFMS server startup. Then please check the checkbox of "Monitor this device" again Over 8 characters password with alphabet and numeric character combination is recommended for safety. When you start an Addressbook/Template/F-Code cloning, if a password dialog is appeared then you must input the any characters for cloning. If you install an EFMS server on encrypted storage then EFMS service will fail to boot the service. Please install an EFMS server on non-encrypted storage. Please do not use multi-byte characters in "Location" and "Department name". If you use these characters, these characters are garbled on EFMS.

In order to delete the EFMS Client, please select Java in the Control Panel to display the Java Control Panel dialog box and perform deleting the Internet temporary files. When a device that has many departments is registered, the counter values will not be updated correctly even though the Last read time will be updated. Also the departments will not be displayed correctly when any departments are deleted in the device. In that case, please set the default polling cycle at the Server Settings according to the "EFMS Recommended Setting" on page 2. Please restart the PC before launching the EFMS Client when updating the Java. The EFMS Client cannot be launched if the PC is not restarted after updating the Java. As the specification, the SNMP V3 Trap authentication error is displayed only when the authentication protocol or authentication password is not correct regardless of the privacy protocol and privacy password settings. However, the SNMP V3 Trap authentication error is displayed when the privacy protocol or privacy password is wrong according to the combination of the settings. The EFMS server will not be started if the Backup/Restore is operated between the 64bit OS and 32bit OS or the environment that the install directories are different. In that case, after finishing the Restore, correct the path of the program folder of the following keys that are defined in the EfmsSrvService.ini and server.cfg.
