This involved: Creating content for the website, interviewing the public and come up with innovative ideas for the website. I also looked after the social networking sites and ensured that all content was written on brand. In order to promote the brand further and to gain paid advertisement, I was also expected to contact local businesses and set up meetings in order to discuss potential business. Writing content in a short space of time and sticking to deadlines was essential. This temporary job involved contacting previous graduates who went to Leeds Metropolitan University, talking to them about their time at university and asking them if they would be interested in making a gift donation to support future students. Having the ability to chat to people in a friendly and polite manner is vital for this job and it has really helped me develop my communication skills.

I worked with a film crew and was expected to interview various people each day which would then be turned into short films. Working as a researcher at a festival was really good experience and it was exciting to be a part of the team. The David Latto Studio April 2012. This temporary telesales job involved contacting previous customers of the photography studio and informing them about current offers that were available. Having the ability to talk confidently about the product was essential in order to gain sales. Yorkshire Post reporter 2012 I spent a week at the Yorkshire Post in January 2012. I had the opportunity to write articles from press releases, attend an interview with an MP and also attend Leeds Crown Court. Shadowing an investigative journalist for a day was really interesting and is something that really appeals to me. Pig Journal editorial assistant 2009-2010 My role for this job was to work alongside an editor who edited a journal called, the Pig Journal. As it was an editing job my main role was to proof read the assignments written by various vets and scientists; I then corrected any grammatical errors that were made and edited them so that they were ready to be published. I was shown ways in which the journal could be arranged so that it looked professional but also suited the readers. Evening Leader, North Wales reporter 2008 I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Evening Leader. I worked alongside the reporters at the news desk and had many articles published.
