C. Materials: Neale S. Godfreys Ultimate Kids Money Book (ISBN 0-689-81717-7)pages 39-52 Worksheets D. Objectives: o NV State Social Studies Standards o E10.3.2 Define banking terms, including saving, interest, and borrowing. E10.3.3 Identify reasons people use banks.

E. Procedure: 1. Hand out worksheets. 2. Read chapter 4 stopping for penny for thoughts give students 2 min each to write. Fill in the definitions as we read. 3. Money, Check, or Credit Card? worksheet 4. Take Your Pick! Page 52 5. CLOSURE: How do banks make their money? What are some alternatives to banking? F. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding? Observations, journal entries, vocab word bank, worksheets Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. The journal entries and vocab definitions will be correct.
