ii. Create a word web with the students responses. e. Introduce vocabulary (aid). 2. As a class, read p. 322-325, stopping to ask questions as indicated in the margins of the TE. 3. (TE 323) About how many countries are there in the world? b. (TE 323) If storms destroy crops, what my other countries send? c. The easiest part of the lesson to teach will be the group discussion. The group discussion will allow the students to share perspectives and learn from each others experiences. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? It might be difficult to make sure the students understand why we help other countries. Many parents of these students may have strong opinions about aiding other countries and voice those opinions around their kids. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? In order to extend this lesson, we will as a class do the Extend Lesson 6 Flags of Different Nations on p. 326-327. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? I would pull any students that did not grasp the concepts aside and we would work on the Reteach Mini Lesson described at the bottom of TE 325. We would work together to make a graphic organizer to tell what they learned from each section of the lesson. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I do not believe it would be necessary to change any part of this lesson. I think this lesson is great to discuss our nations relationship with other countries. 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? As I have mentioned in previous lessons, the standard was definitely the most difficult part. The standard I chose was the most similar standard possible to fit the content in this lesson. I had to modify my assessment to fit the standard as well.
