My friend’s mother says that when sperms
(semen) enter a girl below 18 years, they
form a bad smell. Is it true?

Your friend’s mother could be saying that to protect her
from dangerous practices like early sex. But It is true
that bad smell can be there if the person you have sex
with has Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI). Remem-
ber, anyone can have an STI.
Is it true that when you have a girlfriend
who is 18 years and you are 15 years, you
can marry and produce a child?

ried. Yes, you can get a child. But before marriage, think
of whether you have what you need to look after your
family. That is why education is important because you
get skills which help you get jobs or create your own
jobs. Having a child is a hard work and for adult.
My aunt told me not to throw used pads in
the latrine and not to hang my knickers
under the sun. She says I may not produce chil-
dren. Is it true?

Rebecca, it is not true. Pads are supposed to be thrown
in a latrine. This has nothing to do with having children.
You may also burn them. Never throw pads anyhow.
Knickers are private clothes, which many people do
not to show other people.You can dry them in the
sun. Cover them with a light cloth.The sun helps to kill
germs.
Some body told me that if a girl doesn’t
have sex, her vagina will close. Is it true?
