Making references
These go in the body of your assignment. Every time you refer to an authors work, quote the authors surname and the year of publication Robbins, (2009) describes the way If you quote directly, use quotation marks and the relevant page number(s) e.g. In a recent study Robbins, (2009), p.145 noted that many of the facts were incorrect.
Creating a bibliography
List all your references in alphabetical order at the end of your work. Again, check how your tutor may want this done. Book references

Journal references
Note these details: Author/editors surname, Initials. (Year). Title of article. Title of Journal, Volume number, (Issue number), Date, Page numbers.
