THE CUSCO CHRONICLES
Halfway Finished!
We cannot believe that we are halfway
through the internship! This month has
been full of exciting things for the
Cusco team. We were able to spend a
weekend at the beginning of the month
with the Siempre Familia church in Ft.
Worth, helping them prepare for their
upcoming inaugural service in April. We

cleaned in the building, re-upholstered
chairs, went door-knocking, and had a
great time with the people there.
Charla and Jennifer also taught the
children that Sunday morning, and Matt
and Gary each had a part in the
worship service. It has been so good
for us to see this mission team working

together for the Lord, and we have
really enjoyed our time with them!

Our classes this month have been
outstanding!

We have had seminars entitled: “So you
want to be a Missionary?”, “Theology of
Missions,” “One Another Scriptures,”
and a very motivating week-long
“Personal Evangelism” seminar. A
couple of days have been set aside to
work on the Policies and Procedures
section of our strategy document.
Every class has been extremely
valuable!
In addition to dynamic classes, we had
two special culture nights this month.
First, we ate at a Peruvian restaurant
called Inca’s Cafe. It was delicious! The
picture below is our group at Inca’s
Cafe. For the second special culture
night, Georgia invited a Peruvian friend
of hers named Megumi to come and
cook for us. They fixed a Peruvian feast!

After we ate, Megumi talked with us
about the culture of Peru, and it was
very insightful.

continue to be very encouraging. Two of
the ladies from the transition home
have been baptized!
We were also blessed with two special
groups of visitors this month. Mark and
Megan Jones, good friends of ours who
now live in West Virginia, came to spend
a few days with the team. They were
able to attend class and the culture MA RK & ME GAN JON ES
night with Megumi, and it was a great
encouragement to have them here!
Tom Weems and Dwain and Golden
Meek spent the past weekend with us.
They are dear friends from
Stantonville, TN, and we were so glad
they came. We enjoyed spending time
with them and showing them the city.
