Writing that Moves You SSA When I was given the assignment of choosing an English piece of writing that moves me I had a hard time at first because of my background, not only was English my second language but I also wasnt as familiar with English writers or famous English works. I realized later that I could use Arabian quotes that had been translated into English. I searched for Arabian quotes then I found quotes that belonged to my prophet Muhammad that had been translated to English. Muhammad is the prophet of Muslims. He was born in about 570 CE in Mecca. It is better to sit alone than in company with the bad, and it is better still to sit with the good than alone. It is better to speak to a seeker of knowledge than to remain silent, but silence is better than idle words. said Muhammad. First, the prophet mentioned many things that relate to my life in that quote. He taught me many fundamental things in my life. In The quote I just mentioned he talked about whom to sit with and avoid. The quote means that those who you sit with will influence you even if you dont notice it happening, In other words if your friends are bad people or they arent good people to be around, you will be negatively impacted by them, this also goes the other way around. So knowing who to sit with or be around is an important key to highest form of personal success. "Man is influenced by the faith of his friends. Therefore, be careful of whom you associate with." Muhammad said.

In the second part of the quote, Prophet Muhammad talked about knowledge. Acquiring knowledge is an important aspect in my religion. The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr said Muhammad. Muhammad encouraged people to seek and acquire knowledge and to teach others if they are able to. In contrast, he warned who hide knowledge from others. However, the prophet said that silence is better than idle words. In other word if you have nothing to say or what you say is just a waste it is better to just not say it, idle words are worthless even if they are spoken. I believe that Muhammad taught me and inspired me just as much if not more than my parents throughout my life. Whenever I read his quotes or even his history, I always feel like I learn a lot. Most of his quotes have much deeper meanings and can be interpreted in many different ways. Nevertheless, Reading Muhammads quotes in English change the meaning slightly, so if it was in Arabic it would be easier to illustrate how those words are constructed, and structured. The structure of the quote was built gradually. However, the prophet started his quote by speaking about whom to sit with. Then he mentioned that sitting alone is better than being surrounded by company that has a negative impact on your life. Later on, he advised about giving knowledge to those who seek it. Moreover, the prophet preferred being silent rather than saying idle words.
