Throughout the workshop Amanda can advise on the best rooms in your house to water birth. Whilst delving into several safety issues our Doula will discuss the best way your partner can become positively involved. Cost 35 per couple which includes workshop materials and light refreshments.

On this beautiful day you will familiarise yourself with the harmonic flow of positive (chi) energy and relevant power symbols, release the blocks and restrictions occurring in your bodys energy centers (chakras) and align yourself with the true spiritual healing path your divine guides are willing you to walk. Reiki is much more than an alternative healing method. Yes, using Reiki has proven to be an effective practice to quell physical pain, emotional insecurity and subdue stress levels but unlike the conventional medication of the modern GP, Reiki healing works at reaching the root of a problem rather than mask its symptoms. Reiki energy is spiritually guided and as such miracles can manifest in a single session but for many the return of balance in the physical, emotional and spiritual body (the full healing process) is an inspiring journey, not an event. Although many souls are drawn to Reiki to be healed and in -turn acquire the gift to heal others that is not always the attraction. Each month we will have a theme for the centre such as love, friendship and beauty and show a film, suggest a book, poem or essay that touches on this area, provoking thought and discussion. From quiet homes and first beginning, Out to the undiscovered ends, Theres nothing worth the wear of winning, But laughter and the love of friends. This months theme is family and friendship. Research shows people who have strong relationships with a family or close friends are happier, healthier and live longer. Friendship not only increases well-being but it decreases loneliness which is a major source of unhappiness. This months film is Ozus beautiful, cinematic masterpiece Tokyo Story. Made in 1953, by one Japans greatest directors, it is one of the most profound and moving studies of married love, ageing and the relations between parents and children. To add to our extremely popular Hot Yoga classes May sees the launch of Family Yoga, Teenage Yoga and Childrens Yoga with free taster classes commencing 13th May. Here at The Happiness Center we have a variety of practices available and an abundance of highly skilled and tremendously trained practitioners to help you, no matter what level you are at, achieve the best results. Healing: The primary purpose of this yoga is therapy. With a regular practice, these postures can help to heal old injuries and also prevent them in the future. This is especially true for, but not limited to, back pain. Dont skip the postures that are slightly uncomfortable. Detox: The poses involved with hot yoga include postures that generate an enormous amount of body heat. This combined with the heat of the room produces heavy sweating that helps flush toxins from the skin (skin is the bodys largest eliminating organ). Cardio and weight loss: Your heart can work the same way doing yoga postures in a heated room as it does when running a mile, particularly in postures when you are balancing and contracting your muscles at the same time. A 90-minute class can burn up to 1,000 calories.
