ersona humanae personae

As a human person, I became ignorant of the things embedded to what a human person really is until our class has tackled it last semester. I gained a fresher and deeper knowledge what a human person really is. A human person like me is not just simple a person or human being who is superior to other the creature in this world. The boundary of our identity as a human person doesnt stop there. We, as human person, have more things to know about us because we are handling responsibilities and dignity that only human person has. A human person is far different from a person or human being because it denotes something different. We as human persons are created in the image and likeness of God and having that opportunity gives as what we called ontological dignity, the dignity that will remain forever until the end of the time. Being created in Gods images, it implies that we are indeed part of Gods duty of caring His other creation. God has given us the intellect and free reason in order for us to learn things that will be beneficial to others. But as we all know that God has given this ability to all of people lived in the world. That is why there are differences between a human person and a person. Being a human person is not just having those intellect and freewill. Being a human person is using God-given gifts and talents to proclaim His words and to share it to other people. To be a human person is to be an image of God. To be an image of God is to recognize our sacredness as Gods children, to love our community as we love ourselves, to live out our imagehood. We all accomplish as we go along the way and we live out to the fullest the gifts that have given to us by God. We should share it and we should not hide it or become selfish because of it. As a human person, our main goal is to be recognized by our community not in our negative ways but in our positive ways that will define us as dignified persons. To live a dignified life is to share in Gods royal activities and it is to become co-creator on His creations such as: life-giving, justice-doing and peace-making. We, as children of God have acquired ontological dignities that make us different from others. We were created in the image and likeness of God and with it we were given much more responsibilities to become co-creator on his creations. We are children of our Father as we make a child-father relationship. We are the temple and indwelling place of the Holy Spirit. We are called to a noble destiny and it is to be with the Lord until the end of the time.

Also as I have learned and reflected, we, human persons, have natures and origins. God created us not just a simple creature. We were created because of many varied reasons. First, God has created as a rational and conscious being. Meaning, as human person, we are able to think and to reason out ourselves compared to other living things which cannot reason out their feelings. We can solve difficult problems and we can express our feelings to other people. That really out compares us from other things. We are open and relational that makes us a social being. Being a human person is being by, with and for others. We are created as one or we are not created and put into an empty place but we are placed to a busy place wherein different people interact. The reason behind is that we are called to a mission and it is spread the word of God to others and to love one another as we love ourselves. We cannot love people if there are no people to be loved. As a human person, we are embodied spirit. Meaning, we composed of our body and soul which are connected to each other. Our human body is very sacred because it is the temple and indwelling place of the Holy Spirit. As a human person, our goal is to preserve its sacredness and to protect it from any harm. We are given this body and we need to use this in a reasonable manner. We are spirit and we need to respect our potentials and limitations in life. We should not be treated as an object nor as a means to an end. We are a historical reality. Meaning, we have an origin and we have reasons to live out and it is the things that have been passed to us from history to history. We have a goal and task given by God and we inherited in from the history, from their traditions. Lastly, as human person we are created unique but fundamentally equal. Meaning, all of us acquire unique abilities and talents. We are put in different scenarios. We are given different challenges and circumstances in daily lives. We are not just like machines which have the same function. We are not animals which do not have an intellect and reason. We are given talents and abilities so that we may able to share it to others. We are born poor because it was given to us by God as a challenge, a challenge to pursue and not just to die poor. We are born rich because it was given to by God as a challenge, a challenge which tests our faith to Him. It is a challenge wherein tests you what values you to someone more, the material thing or God? Or it is also a challenge to us to refrain ourselves from becoming or dying as a greedy persons. Because as human persons, I have already known and learned that everything here in earth revolves in the principles authored by God. As human persons, to be called one is to live our live in a human way. We tend to become a real tao if magpapakatao tayo.
