Respected citizens and visitors, It is my great pleasure to greet you as the new Mayor of Sarajevo and to announce some interesting events that will mark the month of May in our city. The warm days of spring have arrived and even though Sarajevos attractions already draw many tourists, the number of touristic visits is on the rise. BiHs capital city is still a most attractive destination and BiH was recently listed among the top 10 friendliest countries in the world, according to the World Economic Forum. May is the perfect month for recreation, especially for cycling, which is very popular in Sarajevo. Therefore, we recommend that on May 18 you take part in the sports tourism event, Enjoy Sarajevo, where participants will ride bikes from Wilsons Promenade to Brus on Trebevi. This event is being organized by the Mountain Biking Association (MTBA). Also on May 18, as part of the traditional manifestation, International Museum Day, all annexes of Sarajevo Museum will feature exhibitions dedicated to famous Sarajevans: Hamdija Kreevljakovi, Samuel Elazar and the Gloo and Svrzo families. This May, I heartily invite you to enjoy spring, beautiful nature and the rich culture of our city! Cijenjeni graani i posjetitelji Sarajeva, veliko mi je zadovoljstvo to vas mogu pozdraviti kao novi gradonaelnik Sarajeva i ovom prilikom najaviti zanimljive dogaaje koji e obiljeiti mjesec maj u naem gradu. Topli proljetni dani su stigli, a Sarajevo ve privlai brojne turiste svojim atrakcijama, emu svjedoi i podatak da je broj turistikih posjeta povean. Glavni grad BiH i dalje spada u najpoeljnije turistike destinacije, a BiH je, takoer, nedavno uvrtena u top 10 najgostoljubivijih zemalja svijeta, po ocjeni Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma. Maj je savren mjesec za rekreaciju, pogotovo za biciklizam koji je jako popularan u Sarajevu, stoga vam preporuujemo da se 18. maja pridruite vonji biciklom od Vilsonovog etalita do Brusa na planini Trebevi u sklopu sportskoturistike manifestacije Enjoy Sarajevo u organizaciji Udruenja brdskih biciklista (MTBA). A u okviru tradicionalne manifestacije Meunarodni dan i no muzeja, koja se takoer deava 18. maja, u svim depadansima Muzeja Sarajevo bit e upriliene izlobe posveene znaajnim Sarajlijama kao to su Hamdija Kreevljakovi, Samuel Elazar, te porodice Gloo i Svrzo. Srdano vas pozivamo da ovog maja uivate u proljeu, prekrasnoj prirodi i bogatoj kulturi u naem gradu!

apital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo is the largest city and countrys administrative, economic, cultural, university and sport center. The City of Sarajevo is comprised of four Municipalities: Stari Grad, Centar, Novo Sarajevo and Novi Grad. Situated in the area called Sarajevo Field, the town is surrounded by Olympic mountains Jahorina, Bjelanica, Igman, Treskavica and Trebevi. River Miljacka nows through the city. Bosniaks, Croats, Serbs, Jews, Roma and other ethnic groups live in Sarajevo. The religions represented are Catholicism, Christian Orthodoxy, Islam and Judaism.

Prostor na kojem se nalazi Sarajevo naseljen je jo od prahistorijskog vremena. Gradsko sredite Sarajevo postaje dolaskom Osmanlija u 15. stoljeu, a glavni grad nezavisne BiH 1992. godine. U Sarajevu su se oduvijek spajale kulture Istoka i Zapada i zahvaljujui tome je ovaj grad jedinstvena kombinacija historije, kulture i naslijea.

The area that Sarajevo occupies has been continuously inhabited since the Prehistoric period. It becomes a city with the arrivals of the Ottomans in 15th century, and a capital of independent BiH in 1992. Sarajevo has always connected East and the West thus creating a unique blend of history, culture and heritage.

Population 300,000 (2006 est.) Climate Sarajevo has a mild continental climate. Average summer temperature is 19.1 C (66 F), and winter is -1.3 C (30 F). Average yearly temperature is 9.5 C (49 F). Time Zone Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo are located in Central European Time Zone (GMT +1). Electricity The electric supply is 220V with 50Hz frequency. Water Supply It is safe to drink tap water in Sarajevo. Currency Currency in BiH is Convertible Mark. The international abbreviation for currency is BAM, while KM is used locally. (1,95 KM = 1 Euro) You can exchange your currency in any bank or post ofmce. Banks are generally open from 08:00 to 18:00 on working days, and from 09:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays. The Sarajevo Post Ofmce

t the beginning of the 19th century, the French Post system, or more precisely the Fraissinet trading company, was still being used to deliver post in Sarajevo. Dating from that period is the Sarajevo Posts oldest seal. Attesting to it is a postcard sent from Sarajevo to Lyon in 1813 bearing the Bosna-Saray stamp. Starting in the middle of the 19th century the Austrian Consul established a private postal service called the Consul Post, which was used in addition to the French Post. The Ottoman authorities were often dissatismed with the Consul Posts services, so in 1864 Topal Osman-Pasha, a great Ottoman vizier in Bosnia, opened a state post ofmce and telegraph station in a private house near Konak. One of the last telegraphs received at the post ofmce in Ottoman Sarajevo was from the Austro-Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrssy, who announced the AustroHungarian Armys entry into BiH. After the Austro-Hungarians had annexed BiH, a military post was created in 1878 with head ofmces and branches (with relay stations) throughout the country, establishing regular postal connections between all parts of the Monarchy. During Austro-Hungarian rule, 150 postal stations were opened and

Sarajevu je jo od poetka 19. stoljea djelovala tzv. Francuska pota, tanije trgovaka kompanija Fraissinet, koja se bavila prenosom pote. Iz tog perioda datira i najstariji peat sarajevske pote na kojem je pisalo Bosna Saray, a o emu svjedoi i razglednica koja je 1813. godine poslana iz Sarajeva u Lyon. Uz Francusku potu je od druge polovine 19. stoljea uspostavljena i privatna pota austrijskog konzula, tzv. Konzulova pota. Rad Konzulove pote esto je bio uzrokom nezadovoljstva osmanskih vlasti, pa 1864. godine Topal Osman-paa, veliki vezir Osmanske imperije u Bosni, otvara dravnu potu i telegrafsku stanicu u jednoj privatnoj kui u blizini zgrade Konaka. Jedan od posljednjih telegrama primljenih u osmanskoj sarajevskoj poti bio je onaj od austrougarskog ministra vanjskih poslova Andraija, kojim je najavio ulazak austrougarske vojske u BiH. Nakon austrougarskog osvajanja BiH, ve 1878. godine se formiraju ratne (vojne) pote, sa centralama i ekspoziturama (etapnim potanskim stanicama) irom zemlje, te se uspostavlja redovna potanska veza sa svim dijelovima Monarhije. Sarajevos Main Post Ofmce was opened on May 18, 1913. The ofmcial opening had been set for June of the following year, but it didnt come to pass, for on June 28, 1914 a telegraph was sent from this ofmce with news that the Austro-Hungarian heir, Franz Ferdinand, had been killed in Sarajevo.

Zgrada sarajevske Pote graena je u stilu secesije, po uzoru na beku Potansku tedionicu (Postsparkasse), uvenog austrijskog arhitekte Ottoa Wagnera. Sarajevska Glavna pota otvorena je 18. maja 1913. godine. Sveano otvaranje bilo je predvieno za juni naredne godine, ali se ono nije desilo, jer je 28. juna 1914. godine ba iz ove pote poslana telegrafska vijest da je u Sarajevu ubijen austrougarski prijestolonasljednik Franz Ferdinand. Ipak, najstraniji dan u historiji sarajevske pote bio je 2. maj 1992. godine, kada su pripadnici Jugoslovenske narodne armije (JNA) u poti izvrili diverziju. U gradu je zanijemilo 45.600 telefona, a kompletna unutranjost zgrade nestala je u plamenu. Materijalna teta iznosila je 144 miliona maraka.

However, the most terrible day in history for the post ofmce was on May 2, 1992 when members of the Yugoslav National Army (JNA) created a diversion from within. Throughout the city 45,600 telephones went silent and the buildings interior went up in names. The cost of damages totaled 144 million KM. For some time after the war the Main Post Ofmce stood on the bank of the Miljacka as a silent witness to the destruction of Sarajevo and in 1997 the director, Dino Mustam, put on a performance of Molires Tartuffe in the buildings charred atrium. Much to the delight of Sarajevans, the Main Post Ofmce was restored to its original form with an ofmcial opening on May 3, 2001. The buildings centennial will be marked this year on May 18.
About author Sead Kre{evljakovi} was born in 1973 in Sarajevo. He comes from one of Sarajevo's most prominent families. His grandfather, Hamdija Kre{evljakovi}, was one of BH's most signimcant historians, and father Muhamed, also a historian, became the Sarajevo's mrst democratically elected mayor in 1991. Sead Kre{evljakovi} is an Honorary Consul of Most Serene Republic of San Marino in BiH, and with his twin brother Nihad, he is a founder of NGO Videoarchive - Library Hamdija Kre{evljakovi}, which aims toward the afmrmation of cultural heritage of Sarajevo and BiH.

Nakon zavretka rata zgrada Glavne pote neko vrijeme stajala je na obali Miljacke kao nijemi svjedok destrukcije Sarajeva, a 1997. godine na zgaritu u njenoj auli reditelj Dino Mustam postavio je Moliereovog Tartifa. Zgrada Glavne pote je, na radost Sarajlija, obnovljena u svom izvornom obliku i sveano otvorena 3. maja 2001. godine, a 18. maja ove godine navrava se 100 godina od njene izgradnje.
O autoru Sead Kre{evljakovi} ro|en je 1973. godine u Sarajevu i poti~e iz ugledne sarajevske porodice. Njegov djed Hamdija Kre{evljakovi} bio je jedan od najzna~ajnijih bh. histori~ara, a otac Muhamed, tako|er histori~ar po profesiji, postao je 1991. godine prvi demokratski izabrani gradona~elnik Sarajeva. Sead Kre{evljakovi} je po~asni konzul Republike San Marino u BiH, a sa bratom blizancem Nihadom osnovao je i U.G. Videoarhiv - Biblioteka Hamdija Kre{evljakovi}, koje amrmira kulturno naslije|e Sarajeva i BiH.

Ashkenazi Synagogue
A{kena{ka sinagoga Ashkenazi Synagogue was built in 1902 by Karl Parik as the mrst religious object to be constructed in a then-popular pseudo-Moorish style. It is the third biggest synagogue in Europe. Akenaka sinagoga je izgraena 1902. godine, po projektu Karla Parika, kao prvi vjerski objekt u pseudomaurskom stilu. Trea je po veliini u Evropi.

Ba{~ar{ija Baarija is the heart of old Sarajevo. The building started in 1462 and reached its culmination by the middle of 16th century. In the center of it is Sebilj (from Arabic word depicting a kiosk-like public fountain) designed by the Czech architect Alexander Vitek. Baarija je srce starog Sarajeva. Izgradnja je zapoeta 1462. godine, a procvat doivljava u 16. stoljeu. U centru Baarije se nalazi Sebilj (ar. Sebilj - javna esma u obliku kioska) kojeg je dizajnirao arhitekt Aleksandar Vitek.

Cathedral of Jesus Sacred Heart

Katedrala Srca Isusova The seat of the Archbishop of Vrhbosna (Upper Bosnia), Cathedral of Jesus Sacred Heart, was built in a neo-gothic style in 1889. The tomb of Josip tadler, Archbishop of Vrhbosna from the turn of the 20th century, is located in the Cathedral. Katedrala Srca Isusova prvostolna je crkva Vrhbosanske nadbiskupije, a sagraena je u neogotikom stilu 1889. godine. Grobnica Josipa tadlera, vrhbosanskog nadbiskupa sa poetka 20. stoljea koji je inicirao izgradnju ovog objekta, nalazi se u Katedrali.

City Hall
Vije}nica
City Hall (Vijenica), a symbol of Sarajevo, is the most beautiful example of pseudo-Moorish building. Erected in 1896, it was the seat of city authorities and after World War II it became the National Library. During 1992 shelling, 90 percent of invaluable books and manuscripts were destroyed. It is currently under reconstruction. Vijenica, simbol Sarajeva, najljepi je objekt izgraen u pseudomaurskom stilu. Izgraena je 1896. i bila je sjedite gradske uprave, a nakon Drugog svjetskog rata u njoj je bila smjetena Nacionalna biblioteka. Granatirana je i spaljena 1992., kada je izgorjelo 90 posto neprocjenjivog kulturnog blaga. Trenutno se vri rekonstrukcija.

Gazi Husrev Beys Mosque

Gazi Husrev-begova d`amija Gazi Husrev Beys Mosque is the most important Islamic house of worship in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Constructed in 1531, it was left to the city by Gazi Husrev Bey, the Ottoman ruler of Bosnia. The mosque is only a part of Gazi Husrev Beys substantial bequest to the city. Gazi Husrev-begova damija je najznaajniji islamski vjerski objekt u BiH. Izgraena je 1531., a zadubina je Gazi Husrev-bega, tadanjeg osmanskog namjesnika. Damija je samo dio velike Gazi Husrev-begove ostavtine.

The Latin Bridge

Latinska }uprija
The Latin Bridge was built in 16th century but acquired world fame for the infamous Sarajevo Assassination. Precisely from this spot Gavrilo Princip shot and killed Austro-Hungarian heir to the throne - archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophia, which triggered the start of World War I. Latinska uprija je izgraena u 16. stoljeu, a postala je svjetski poznata po Sarajevskom atentatu. Tu je Gavrilo Princip usmrtio austrougarskog prijestolonasljednika Franza Ferdinanda i njegovu suprugu Somju, to je bio povod za poetak Prvog svjetskog rata.

The Old Orthodox Church

Stara pravoslavna crkva The Old Orthodox Church was built in 16th century. Unique for its atypical architecture, this church has been safe guarding holy icons and religious relics for centuries. There are several interesting legends and folk tales related to its founding. Stara pravoslavna crkva sagraena je u 16. stoljeu. Tunnel of Hope
Tunel spasa Built under the runway of Sarajevo Airport in 1993, the Tunnel of Hope was the citys only connection with the outside world during the four years of siege. A portion of it remains open today. (For organized tours contact tourist agencies.) Tunel spasa izgraen je ispod aerodromske piste 1993. i bio je jedina veza Sarajeva sa ostatkom svijeta za vrijeme etverogodinje opsade. Danas je dio tunela otvoren za posjete. It is located in the renovated Velike Daire (a storehouse used during the Ottoman period) in Baarija and in the midst of this wonderful atmosphere is a museum mlled with rich displays which tell the story of sevdah and introduce you to the most well-known sevdah interpreters: Himzo Polovina, Zaim Imamovi, Ismet Alajbegovi-erbo, Safet Isovi, Zehra Deovi, Nada Mamula, Zora Dubljevi....

hile preparing for the May edition of Sarajevo ripremajui majsko izdanje Sarajevo Navigatora, u klubu W Navigator, we were in City Pub to speak with Selma PCity Pub smo porazgovarali sa mladom rediteljicom Spahi, a young director who works as a selector for the Selmom Spahi, ujedno i selektoricom Future MESS Future MESS program during the International Theater Festival MESS. Selma recently directed the play, Tajna dema od malina, at the Sarajevo War Theater SARTR, as based on the collection of stories by writer Karim Zaimovi who was killed at the end of the war in 1995. The play has become a hit among the Sarajevo public, so we are very pleased to announce repeat performances May 3, 4 and 6 in SARTR. Selma was born in Zenica, but a large part of her life has been connected to Sarajevo, where she currently lives and works. She draws inspiration from the small and dilapidated Kalmija Baruha St., and then there are Kralja Tvrtka, Grbavika, Aleja Lipa, Josipa Vancaa and especially Koevo street, where she used to hang out with friends over the years. Her favorite walking route is along Wilsons Promenade, but she also likes to wander up through the mahalas to Bijela tabija (White Fortress). She thinks the Olympic Museum is the most beautiful building in Sarajevo, and her favorite one is the Astra factory in Otoka, which she believes could be turned into a wonderful theater. Selma usually drinks her daily coffee in one of the many programa Internacionalnog teatarskog festivala MESS. Selma je nedavno u Sarajevskom ratnom teatru SARTR reirala predstavu Tajna dema od malina, po istoimenoj zbirci pria sarajevskog spisatelja Karima Zaimovia, koji je poginuo pri kraju rata, 1995. godine. Predstava je postala hit meu sarajevskom publikom, stoga nas raduje da njene ponovne izvedbe u SARTR-u moemo najaviti i u mjesecu maju 3, 4. i 6. maja. Selma je roena u Zenici, ali je veliki dio njenog ivota vezan za Sarajevo, u kojem ivi i radi. Inspiriraju je brojne sarajevske ulice: mala i skoro sruena ulica Kalmija Baruha, potom ulice Kralja Tvrtka, Grbavika, Aleja lipa, Josipa Vancaa te ulica Koevo gdje se godinama sa drutvom dogovarala za izlaske. Njena omiljena ruta za etnju vodi du Vilsonovog etalita, ali Selma voli i da luta mahalama do Bijele tabije. Za nju je najljepa graevina u Sarajevu zgrada Olimpijskog muzeja, a najdraa joj je zgrada fabrike Astra na Otoci, za koju tvrdi da bi bila divno pozorite. Selma svoje dnevne kafe najee pije u nekoj od brojnih bati u gradu, a posjetiteljima preporuuje da mijenjaju

gardens in town. She suggests that visitors should try out a few locations and enjoy this ritual in different parts of the city. She says that Sarajevo has great restaurants on every corner, and she can mnd whatever she wants at any time. As for Sarajevos cultural festivals, Selma attends them all, but the most special time of year for her is during MESS when a window opens up onto theater from around the world. When asked why she loves Sarajevo, she explains: - I love it because of the irregularities in architecture which offer a certain charm, the interesting history behind almost every building in the city center and for the microcosm that you can build for yourself. Selma recommends a somewhat different vantage point of Sarajevo the one from the Jewish cemetery, which she insists is one of the most interesting places in town. She recommends that visitors mnd someone to take them around Sarajevo, for then the city turns into an adventure. In closing, Selma describes Sarajevo in one sentence for our readers: - This city is an exciting, exploratory and historical adventure! lokacije i u ovom ritualu uivaju u razliitim dijelovima grada. Kada su u pitanju sarajevski kulturni festivali, Selma ih sve posjeuje, ali je MESS oduvijek za nju bio najposebniji dio godine, kada se otvori prozor u svijet pozorita iz cijelog svijeta. Na pitanje zato voli Sarajevo, naa sugovornica objanjava: - Volim ga zbog nepravilnosti u arhitekturi koje mu daju arm, zanimljive historijske pozadine skoro svake zgrade u centru grada, i zbog mikrosvijeta kojeg sebi moe izgraditi. Selma preporuuje neto drugaiji pogled na Sarajevo onaj sa Jevrejskog groblja, koje istie kao jedno od najzanimljivijih mjesta u gradu. Posjetiteljima poruuje da obavezno pronau osobu koja e ih provesti kroz Sarajevo, jer tada grad postaje pustolovina. Za kraj, Selma je za nae itatelje Sarajevo opisala u jednoj reenici: - Ovaj grad je jedna uzbudljiva istraivaka, historijska avantura.

ay is one of the most beautiful times of year in Sarajevo you can enjoy lovely weather and long walks in spectacular nature. This month Sarajevo has many interesting events to offer, especially concerts. A series of concerts will continue to be performed at the amphitheater of Dom mladih as part of The Cactus Music Scene by the following bands: KZU Ole Ole & PZU Oje Oje and Snake Eater (May 3), Zoster and Polaroid Trip (May 10), Sikter and Paranoid Android (May 17), Killing Jazz Hardcore Baby and Post Scriptum (May 24), and the DJ team, Kontra (May 31). The musician, Vlado Dihan, a former member of the downtempo house and acid jazz duo, dZihan & Kamien, will perform at Art Cinema Kriterion on May 11. We also recommend the concert by the Croatian cult rock band, Prljavo kazalite, on May 18 at Dom mladih. For sports fans, we make special mention of the 101st derby between the football clubs, eljezniar and Sarajevo, which will be played at Grbavica Stadium on May 8. The International Investment Conference Sarajevo Business Forum 2013 will be held in Sarajevo on May 17 and this years theme is Models of growth and lessons for Southeast Europe. arajevo has ample opportunities for really excellent food ranging from traditional Bosnian to various sorts of international cuisine. Generally speaking, eating light is not the Sarajevo way. But, while here, it would be a shame not to try tasty local dishes, some of which can be eaten only in this city. Traditional Bosnian fast food restaurants are either cafeteria-style ainias, while pitas (phyllo dough mlled with various ingredients) are found in buregdinicas. evap~ii (spiced ground beef balls) can be eaten at evabdinicas. Although these Bosnian fast food restaurants can be found throughout the city, the majority of them are concentrated in Baarija (old Turkish quarter). The local cuisine is heavily innuenced by Turkish one, but with major differences. Typical meals served in ainias are sarajevski sahan, a meal comprised of various dolmas (vegetables stuffed with meat and rice), bosanski lonac, a thick stew-like soup made of meat and vegetables, bamija (okra dish with lamb meat) to name a few. You should make sure not to miss one of the most popular local specialties various versions of pitas (a thin phyllo dough pastry mlled with meat or vegetables such as potato, spinach or even squash).

Ali dok ste tu, bilo bi teta da ne probate ukusna domaa jela, od kojih se neka mogu nai samo u Sarajevu. Tradicionalni bosanski fast food restorani su ainice, a pite (jufke punjene razliitim sastojcima) moete pronai u buregdinicama, dok evap~ie moete jesti u evabdinicama. Iako se ovi restorani mogu pronai irom grada, veina se nalazi na Baariji.

Surely one of the most popular foods in Sarajevo are the traditional evapii, rolled spiced meat balls served in portions of 5, 10 or more, and with somun (thin pitabread unique to Sarajevo), onions, yoghurt, and ocasionally kajmak (sweet cheese spread). These are available in numerous evabdinicas around town, along with other grilled meat specialties such as pljeskavica (hamburgerlike patty served with somun and yoghurt), sudukice (small sausages served with mustard)... Typically, alcohol or coffee are not served in any of the mentioned fast food places, and almost all are non-smoking. As far as the sweets are concerned, beware that sweet is really sweet in Sarajevo. You will need several glasses of water to eat a Sarajevo baklava, ruica, kadaif, tufahija or any other cake at any of Baarijas many cake shops.

Preporuujemo vam i da probate jedan od najpopularnijih domaih specijaliteta razliite vrste pita punjenih mesom, povrem ili sirom. Sarajevski evapii se slue u porcijama od 5, 10 ili vie, sa somunom, lukom, jogurtom, a po vaem izboru i sa kajmakom. Moete ih probati u brojnim evabdinicama, a preporuujemo vam i ostale uskusne mesne specijalitete sa rotilja: pljeskavice (takoer se slue sa somunom i lukom), sudukice (slue se sa senfom) Obino se alkohol ne slui u spomenutim mjestima, a u skoro svim je zabranjeno i puenje. Kada je u pitanju slatko, budite svjesni da je slatko zaista slatko u Sarajevu. Trebat e vam nekoliko aa vode da pojedete sarajevsku baklavu, ruicu, kadaif, tufahiju ili bilo koji drugi kola u nekoj od brojnih slastiarni na Baariji.

weet Shop Jadranka was opened in Grbavica in 1956 by confectioner Nikola Bukvi and his wife, Zora. As one of the oldest sweet shops in Sarajevo, Jadranka has been known for years for great cakes: cream cakes and Bohemian cakes, not to mention the marzipan mgurines. The shop continued to work up until 1992 when the war started in BiH. Nikola and Zoras son, Aleksandar Saa Bukvi, is a member of the famous Sarajevo art group, Zvono, and when he returned from Canada in 2008 he re-opened the shop in honor of his parents. This year the refurbished Jadranka celebrates its 5th anniversary and there are still some employees who were working there before the war and now even some of their children work there. Jadranka offers a daily selection of 40 different pastries and 20 different cakes which are all made according to traditional recipes. The most popular sweets remain the cream cake and Bohemian cake, then there are the tea cookies, chestnut cakes, wheat puree with cream, lazy pie, and in summer there is home-made ice cream. Free delivery is also available and cakes can be made to order. So visit Jadranka on Zagrebaka 51 and try some delicious cakes! Working hours are Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Slastiarna je radila sve do 1992. godine i poetka rata u BiH. Nikolin i Zorin sin, Aleksandar Saa Bukvi, lan poznate sarajevske umjetnike grupe Zvono, je 2008. godine, nakon povratka iz Kanade, slastiarnu ponovo otvorio, u ast svojih roditelja. Ove godine obnovljena Jadranka slavi pet godina postojanja, a u njoj su i danas zaposleni radnici i radnice koji su tamo radili i prije rata, pa ak i njihova djeca. Svakog dana Jadranka nudi oko 40 vrsta kolaa i 20 vrsta torti, koji se prave po tradicionalnim receptima. Najpopularniji kolai su i dalje amponjeza i boem, a tu su i ajna peciva, kolai s kestenom, ito sa lagom, lijena pita..., dok je ljeti u ponudi i domai sladoled. ould you like to step into the past and travel through many centuries of history? Fojnicas Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Spirit is the ideal place to do so, and it is only about an hour from Sarajevo. The monastery has been in existence since the 14th century and it holds many treasures: books, historical documents, paintings and other artifacts. One part of the monastery is the museum which houses a valuable collection, including the Ahdnama (charter), a document issued to Friar Anel Zvizdovi on May 28, 1463 by Sultan Mehmed II Fatih which granted Franciscans the right to live freely in BiH by the laws of their own faith. The Ahdnama is considered the oldest written document on human rights and this year marks 550 years since it was mrst decreed. This is a great reason to visit the monasterys museum, which is open to visitors on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Ove godine navrava se 550 godina od izdavanja Ahdname koja se smatra najstarijim pisanim dokumentom o ljudskim pravima, to je pravi razlog da posjetite muzej samostana, koji je za posjetitelje otvoren utorkom, etvrtkom i subotom, od 9:30 do 12 sati i od 14:30 do 17 sati.

Public Transport
Sarajevo is well connected with a network of trams, trolley-buses, buses and minibuses. The one-way ticket for an inner-city zone is 1.6 KM if you purchase it in a kiosk. However, if you purchase it with a driver, the one-way ticket costs 1.8 KM.

Gradski saobra}aj
Sarajevo je dobro uvezano javnim gradskim saobra}ajem. U gradu funkcioni{e mre`a tramvaja, trolejbusa, autobusa i kombija. Karte ko{taju 1,6 KM po vo`nji ukoliko se karta kupi u kiosku, dok, kada je kupujete kod voza~a, njena cijena iznosi 1,8 KM. Kartu obavezno morate poni{titi pri ulazu u vozilo jer ete u protivnom biti ka`njeni na licu mjesta. Trenutno ne postoji autobuska linija koja povezuje Aerodrom sa centrom grada. The ticket must be punched as soon as you enter the vehicle. Failure to do so will result in a mne, on the spot. There is currently no direct bus line which connects the Airport with the city center.
