The AAA Four-Diamond Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, owned and managed by Mar-
cus Hotels & Resorts, is pleased to welcome Michele Chiarlo Wines for a special dinner
event at the elegant Ristorant Brissago. On Thursday, May 16, guests to the restaurant
are invited to experience a classic ve-course Italian meal featuring paired varietals from
the vineyards wine portfolio.
The Michele Chiarlo brand is family-owned and operated, hailing from the Piedmont
region of Italy. Since beginning in 1956, the Chiarlo winery has made superior Barberas
and high quality Barolo vintages that are renowned throughout the wine world. Distributed
locally by Kobrand Corporation, Michele Chiarlo is considered one of most respected pro-
ducers of ne wines in the Piedmont region.
Kobrand Corporation State Manager Grant Bender will host the event, guiding guests
through a meal of expertly paired wines chosen to complement Ristorant Brissagos au-
thentic Italian cuisine. A Chicagoland native, Bender studied at the prestigious Culinary
Institute of America, before graduating from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell
University. Prior to joining Kobrand, he spent time honing his skills in Chicago ne dining
establishments and hotels.
As part of this special dinner event, guests will begin their evening at 5:30 p.m. with a
reception of passed hors doeuvres paired with Michele Chiarlo Arneis Le Madri. Dinner
begins at 6:30 p.m., featuring an array of freshly prepared dishes from Executive Chef
Michael Sawin. Tickets for the event are $75 per person, including wine pairings. Reserva-
tions are required and can be made by calling 262.249.4788. Dinner guests who would like
to extend their visit to the Grand Geneva can enjoy a special rate of $119 for overnight ac-

The Abbey Resort and AVANI Spa is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the comple-
tion of a $50 million multi-phase renovation and a gala event to benet Walworth Countys
