TOURNAMENT RULES KL INTERNATIONAL INTER CITY KABADDI CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012 Hosted by Kabaddi Association of Kuala Lumpur

1. EVENTS Inter City Inter-City Event Men Women Venue KL Badminton Stadium Date 17-19 February 2012

2. Eligibility and Registration a. Participation to the Inter-City is open to kabaddi teams from the cities on invitation basis only. b. Entry of teams will be at the discretion of the organising committee for the Inter-City Championships. c. A minimum of 12 teams will be registered for the mens competition and a minimum of 6 teams for the womens competition. d. Each team must provide one (1) qualified Technical Official to assist in the officiating of the competition. Copy of the Technical Officials certificate must be attached together with the entry. e. Each team must register a maximum of 12 players for the competition. In addition they will be accompanied by one (1) manager and (1) coach only. f. The weight category for the competitions are as below 1. Men: 80kg and below 2. Women: Open weight g. All entries by team must be submitted before the closing date of January 1, 2012. h. Entry by name together with one (1) passport size photograph and a photocopy of the identity card or passport must be submitted to the organisers before January 25, 2012. i. Players must be residents of the city they represent.

j. Players may be called to identify themselves if deemed necessary. 3. a. b. c. Rules The tournament would follow international rules. All matches will be played on certified EVA foam mats. All players must wear uniform jersey and shorts for all matches. All jerseys must be numbered. Only team name or player name are allowed at the back of the jersey. Sponsors logo will only be allowed on the front side of the jerseys.

4. Tournament Format a. The tournament competition format would be finalised by the organising committee immediately after the closing date and would be dependant on the number of participating teams. b. The draws for the events would be held in Kuala Lumpur at least one week before the competition start day. c. Incomplete matches which may occur due to unavoidable circumstances shall be played at the same venue at the earliest possible time on the same day. 5. Managers meeting a. The managers meeting would be held on the 16th February, 2012. b. The weigh in of all players for would be held immediately before the managers meeting. 6. Jury of Appeal a. The Jury of Appeal would be made of three members. The Chief Referee, the Competition Chairman and Technical Delegate. b. The Jury will be responsible to mete out disciplinary action against any player or team that contravenes the Rules of the game or act in a manner which brings disrepute or disrupt any aspect of the tournament. c. Such disciplinary actions may include suspension or fine. 7. General conditions a. The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the international rules. b. Umpires/Referees/Scorers/Assistant Scorers will be provided for all matches. c. Competitors play at their own risk. The organisers, hosts and sponsors will not be held responsible for any

personal injury or loss of any other mishaps during the tournament. In all aspects, the decision of the Competition Chairman shall be final. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter the above conditions and the programmes in any way it deems fit. The Challenge Trophies will remain the property of the the organising committee. All appeals/objections in writing together with a fee of RM100/- shall be lodged with the Competition Chairman not later than 30 minutes after the conclusion of the said game. The decision of the Appeal Committee is final. If the appeal is rejected the fee will be retained by the organisers. Team managers of each team shall, 30 minutes before the commencement of each match submit to the officer in charge the teams list for the said match. No change shall be allowed thereafter. The organisers will provide full board and Lodging for all participating teams from February 2-6 for a maximum of 15 persons only. Any additional members in the contingent will have to pay for their own board and Lodging. Each additional member would be charged RM 75 per day for board and lodging. Teams must pay their own way to participate in the tournament. Internal transportation would also be provided for all teams.
