Did you know that today we celebrate one of the big three solemnities in the liturgical year? Together with Christmas and Easter, the feast of Pentecost ranks right up there in importance as we live the life of Christ in time through the liturgical year.The feast of Pentecost has lost some of its charm, because our secular world hasnt made it a day or season for buying gifts or Easter Eggs.You never know how many shopping days there are till Pentecost. But Pentecost has not always been shortchanged, especially in the early church.Today is the birthday of the church. May the birthday party continue at the Table of the Eucharist, as we call down the spirit of Pentecost to hallow our gifts of bread and wine.

A pilgrimage has been arranged from May 23rd to May 26th,to Washington D.C. We will visit the shrine of Veilankani Matha as well as visit the rest of the capital city of America.Please contact the parish trustees (kaikarans) if you areinterested in taking part in this pilgrimage.
