The following amendment in the advertisement for recruitment notice under freedom fighter quotas published in The Daily Ittefaq & The Independent on May 01, 2013, vide Memo No. DESCO/HQ/ADMIN-A(7)/R-7/2013/1178, Dated: 30.04.2013 is hereby issued keeping all other terms & conditions unchanged:i) The part of sentence "Graduation or equivalent Degree from a reputed university in Electrical & Electronics/CSE/Mechanical/Civil Engineering" instead of Graduation or equivalent Degree from a reputed university in Electrical & Electronics/CSE/ Mechanical Engineering.

RECRUITMENT NOTICE UNDER FREEDOM FIGHTERS QUOTA

Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) entrusted with the responsibilities of operation & maintenance, development of the power system network and distribution of electricity within its geographical area invites applications from eligible candidates for appointment to the posts mentioned below on contract basis under Freedom Fighters Quota (Eligible Candidate must have an Certificate Issued by Ministry of Liberation War Affaires under Notification No. gytwetgt/mb`-1/c-1/2002/02, ZvwiL-26/02/02 and/or Certificate countersigned by Honorable Prime Minister within the period of 1997 to 2001 issued by Muktijoddha Sangsad). Graduation or equivalent Degree from a reputed university in Electrical & Electronics/CSE/Mechanical Engineering and also have two first division/class or equivalent CGPA. Candidate having third division/class Assistant Manager or equivalent CGPA in any examination need not to apply. The candidates should be self-organized, team (Technical) oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skill. He/she should be capable of working under stressful situation. Master degree/Four years honors or equivalent degree from a reputed university in relevant discipline and also have two first division/class or equivalent CGPA. Candidate having third division/class or equivalent Assistant Manager CGPA in any examination need not to apply. The candidates should be self-organized, team oriented with (Finance) excellent communication and interpersonal skill. He/she should be capable of working under stressful situation. Master degree/Four years honors or equivalent degree from a reputed university in any discipline and also Assistant Manager have two first division/class or equivalent CGPA. Note: Age limit : Maximum 32 Years as on 21/05/2013 and age is relaxable up to 5 (five) years for applicants serving in DESCO. Application Procedure: (i) Interested candidates should submit their applications using the prescribed 'Format' that may be downloaded from DESCO's website (www.desco.org.bd) with 3 (three) copies of recent colored passport size photo, copies of all educational certificates, experience certificates, national identity card/nationality certificate, freedom fighter's certificate of parents or others as applicable (Photo and all documents must be attested) and a Bank draft/Pay order of Tk. 300/- (Three hundred) for Sl. No. 1 to 5 & Tk. 200/- (Two hundred) for Sl. No. 6 & 7 in favour of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd. (DESCO). (ii) Applications are to be submitted in closed envelope to reach the General Manager (Administration), Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd. (DESCO) at House # 22/B, Farookh Sarani, Nikunjo-2, Khilkhet. Dhaka-1229, Bangladesh latest by 21/05/2013 during office hours. Please mention the name of post on the top left side of the envelope. Candidates in service should apply through Proper Channel. (iii) In case of grandson/granddaughter a relationship certificate from UP Chairman/ward counselor of CC/Mayor or counselor of municipality may be submit. If address of freedom fighter certificate differ with applicant permanent address, then a certificate in favor of this differ address from UP Chairman/ward counselor of CC/Mayor or counselor of municipality/notary public may be submitted. (iv) In case of foreign degree a equivalent certificate by appropriate equivalent committee must be submitted with application. (v) Incorrect or incomplete application and application of received after deadline may be canceled. (vi) Affidavit (in case of age) not accepted. (vii) In case of new post create due to promotion/retirement/dead/resignation or termination then mentioned post may be increased. In case indissoluble administrative or lawful bindings the vacant post may changed. (viii) Only short-listed candidates will be called for appropriate test/interview.
