WHAT GOD CAN MAKE WHEN
EVERYTHING SEEMS LOST
By: Jorge Villavicencio
TEXT: Habakkuk 3: 17-19 “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall
fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no
meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the
stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord
God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make
me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed
instruments”

WHAT GOD CAN MAKE WHEN EVERYTHING SEEMS LOST | www.mcmcolombia.org
Some time have you had a dream that you have been waiting for it but nothing
happen?
Have you had in your heart some deep strong desire, but it has not been
materialized?
Have you had big expectations that God moves in your favor, but the
circumstances are opposed and do you feel as if the promise will never complete,
or worse still, as if the promise had died?
But today I have good news for you: There is hope for you!
In other words, they imposed a horrible terror and where they were they
imposed their law and authority. They rushed to attack like beasts and as speedy
prey birds. Sometimes we feel like this: Lonely, there is nothing to make! But is
there where we see the things that God can make:
It was the promise that the destructive town would also be destroyed.
1
II. - GOD IS FAITHFUL IN COMPLETING THE PROMISE.
Deuteronomy 7: 9 “Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the
faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and
keep his commandments to a thousand generations”.
The Word of God teaches us about many people that having a promise of God
saw a lot of time happen without it was completed.
For example: Abraham, Joseph who had a dream of God that he will be very big
and important person, he saw how he was treated wrongly; David who was
anointed as a future king, he was being pursued to death by Saul; Daniel being
obedient to God in everything, he was threw to the lions because of pray, Ana
Samuel's mother, for many years was suffering her rival's insult for not having a
son.
But all of them kept their obedience to God until the final and they could see the
James 4: 7 “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you”.
The devil is that enemy that came for "to steal, to kill and to destroy" and he
wants to put an end to us and that the promises of God are not completed, but
as soon we undergo to the Lord and to his commandments, even in the
difficulties, sooner we will be able to resist it and to take it out of our
circumstances, because in the cross Christ conquered it!
Job 36: 11 “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity,
and their years in pleasures".
2. - Those that obey become in special treasure for God (as the spoilt of God)
Exodus 19: 5 “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my
covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all
the earth is mine”.
Exodus 23: 22 “But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak;
then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine
adversaries”.
2
When we maintain the obedience in keeping the faith in that promise, it liberates
us of the anxiety of the problems or the deficients. We walk with faith and trust
that God will manage the situation.
Habakkuk 2: 2 "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make
it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an
appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for
it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.
Romans 15: 13 "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost”.
Although Habakkuk trembled of fear for the panorama that he lived, he knew
that he would see the victory.
VII. - YOU MAKE AN EFFORT, GOD WILL GIVE YOU WHAT HE PROMISED
YOU.
It doesn't interest which the circumstances are, is by the faith in the Lord that
we can find hope.
Zechariah 8: 12-13 “For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her
fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their
dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. And
it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of
Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear
not, but let your hands be strong”.
You should take the relief that the promises of God give you and you will have
the benefit of them. Finally the Chaldaics were destroyed, for that reason we like
Habakkuk, we should wait with faith and obedience.

The promise of God for your life is given: "The vine will give its fruit and the land
will give its product".
