Archetype (India)
Archetype started its India operations in 2005 when it was appointed by Aman Resorts as Construction Manager for the Lodhi hotel in Delhi. This appointment followed Archetypes successful completion of Amansara in Cambodia, 25% below budget and ahead of time. Since 2005, Archetype expanded its Project Management services throughout the country and has now three offices in Delhi, Bombay and Bangalore, as well as site office representations in Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Dhaka. Archetype India specializes in project & construction management for hospitality projects & high quality residential and commercial projects throughout India and now Bangladesh. One of the most high-profile achievements of Archetype India was its appointment as Project Manager for the renovation of the iconic Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai in 2009

AMAN LODHI HOTEL, DELHI This first urban hotel by Aman features 68 suites and service apartments, designed by Kerry Hills Architects, and offers the ultimate luxury to the most demanding clientele accustomed to Aman signature hotels around the world. After completing Amans AMANSARA resort in Cambodia ahead of schedule and below budget, ARCHETYPE was appointed Construction Manager of this new project in Delhi, which became ARCHETYPEs first reference in India.

TAJ PALACE, MUMBAI ARCHETYPE was appointed as Project Manager for the renovation of the iconic century-old Taj Palace hotel in Mumbai following the Nov-08 terrorist attacks. With more than 20 international designers involved, more than 70 work orders, the daunting task of a partial re-opening on the first anniversary of the attacks whilst maintaining the new wing of the hotel open to public throughout the works, presented the most complex organization and programming challenge to the ARCHETYPE team. With multi-disciplinary teams working 24/7 in close coordination on design, procurement, and construction, the public areas were re-open to the public 8 months after our appointment, followed shortly after by the ballroom and the guestroom floors.
