Interior permeability
A competition for a new building for headquarters for Walltopia, one of the leading wall climbing equipment manufactures in the world. The Collider Activity Centre is inspired by nature - climbable carved rock - yet it contains a standard column grid for efficient construction. The main space contains the interior climbable areas and circulation. This "heart" carving is viewable from many parts inside, and it reaches the ceiling, where natural light comes through. Located near a newly built metro station, this building provides indoor and outdoor activities with the highlight being climbing both inside and outside the volume. The program consists of climbing walls and boulders, restaurant, caf, swimming, children's area, rooftop bar, fitness, office. Responsibilities: coordinating the program and plans.

Site context
In a year long thesis in the Design Research Lab (AADRL) at the AA, research was conducted in digital methodology and physical fabrication. Throughout the year, a shift between the two mediums resulted in a system of prefabrication and on-site assembly, with which, a building can be constructed in a fraction of the time of traditional construction, reducing the environmental impact of heavy construction, and the downtime at busy sites. The further developed protypical scenario is based in Hong Kong, as a pedestrian bridge. Digital research consisted of "hacking" various software suites together to produce a system for simulations and generative design. Physical research consisted of utilizing materials outside of their typically prescribed use - using composites without moulds, weaving different materials, etc.

Form-Fab
Fabric-formed plaster experiments for studio workshop at the Architectural Association.
In this half-term rigorous workshop, lycra fabric was stitched and then filled with plaster to test the topological and the practical properties of each pattern. Ranging in scale from 30cm cubes to almost two meter-tall pours, the relationship with the pattern and lycra shape was affected by density of the plaster, the stretch of the lycra, and gravity. The final experiment took part in Hooke Park in rural Dorset, where the whole studio (five teams) created a pavilion in collaboration with the Design and Make programme, based there. In addition to the physical experiments, digital simulations were carried out to predict the physical behaviour of the actual pour. Worked within a team of five students.

NPR's new live studios and in-house Black Box theatre were developed by our team at Bloomfield and Associates (B&A) for NPR, as a subcontractor of Hickok Cole Architects. The studios require geometry without any right angles, due to the importance of sound resonance. Additionally, all the latest technologies needed to be incorporated from the beginning of the design phases.
Floor plan containing the studios
The non-standard shapes and volumes, the custom materials throughout, and the double wall assembly posed challenges for the creation of the Revit-based BIM model, able to be plugged in the main architect's model. As the Revit expert at B&A, my responsibilities included the complete development of the BIM model and the coordination for production with NPR, our internal team, and the main building architects.

Lively Up!
A self-inspired vision for green transformation in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Influenced by the Dutch, Belgian, and English infrastructural projects for the re-evaluation and design for pedestrianoriented public domain, this vision represents the potential to apply similar concepts in Sofia. Situated near the centre of the town, adjacent to an open canal, the wide green space has been relatively recently "transformed" by the addition of a bike path. However, the quality of the path, the pavement used, the overall landscaping, and the lack of any type of consideration for the continuation of the bike path through the street intersections has led me to design an alternative. The main objectives are to create a lively landscape for separation from the adjacent boulevard, to create a separate bike path, develop a bus-only lane to slow down traffic, and introduce new pavement for the intersection

Ordos Villa 62
A villa by the Normal Architecture Office (NAO), for AI Weiwei's and Herzog & De Meuron's design of 100 villa zone in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. NAO, led by Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss. Villa 62 creates an architecture that works with the desert weather system in Inner Mongolia. As part of a team for the development of the Villa 62, work was done on the plans and interior elevations to specify the finishes and detailing. At this phase of the design, there was constant coordination with the associate architects in China, to make sure that the required materials and details can be executed as shown.

Coffee on Wheels
Product design and brand identity for a project based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
A new start-up in Bulgaria, provided with brand identity and tricycle design that distinguish it from the multitudes of similar products found on the streets of San Francisco, Amsterdam, and London. The company, offers high-quality gourmet coffee in an ecologically friendly manner. The design of both the coffee cart and the logos reflects the ecofriendly nature of the business through offering simple, and clear logos in brown and green, that work in both English and Bulgarian. The coffee tricycle's design reflects the colour contrast detailing found in traditional Bulgarian houses, offering something subconsciously familiar to potential customers without explicitly stating it. The cream and brown colours reflect the elements associated with coffee and luxury.

Thirdspace
Undergraduate thesis project on social-spatial relationships conducted at Temple University.
This thesis project consisted of gaining an understanding of socially related aspects of space, based on research of phenomenological concept of all-sensual spatial perception and implied [in]formality of surface delineation. Field research was an important aspect of the conclusions of the synthesis:, consisting of self-initiated street performances, acts of playful "unusual" informal street behaviour", urban analysis of mothers with children, pedestrians with dogs, and of concerts and other event-driven scenarios. The resulting outcome is a single surface system, capable of delineating to allow for specific social circumstances, aimed at either formalizing or in-formalizing public acts, through play on the perception of participant-observer behaviour.

Photojourn Repository
Photojournalist archive and gallery conducted at Temple University
Often, modern galleries have self-contained exhibits. Rarely, are there exhibits continuing from one contained space to another. Another rarity is the amount of natural light that filters in the gallery, and another, the relationship between the exhibit and the immediate urban context. The aim of this project is to take on these issues and create an inter- and outer-connected photojournalist archive and gallery. The narrow and long site allowed for the creation of a faade that filters in northern light, while also creating a visual relationship between what's exhibited and what's outside. The "climax" of the spatial sequence is reaching the top and experiencing the introverted relationship between the city viewed outside, and peaking inside the gallery at the people and the exhibits.

Rittenhouse Theatre
Proscenium and Black Box theatre conducted at Temple University
On a site in the heart of Central Philadelphia, with visual connection to one of the main green squares in the city, on a street with traditional rowhomes, the project aims to distinguish itself as a theatre and draw attention to the corner, visible from Rittenhouse Square, while remaining appropriate within its rowhome context. Entering from the corner, there is a transparent connection to the below-ground level consisting of a cafe and a gallery. Within the ground floor are entries for support staff, ticket office, and main vertical circulation leading up towards the two theatres, stacked one on top of the other. The support circulation is located on the opposite corner of the theatre where actors and staff can move equipment between the different levels.
