[102] They followed what the Shaytin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) In the lifetime of
Sulaimn (Solomon). Sulaimn did not disbelieve, but the Shaytin (devils) disbelieved, teaching
men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Hrt and Mrt, but
neither of These two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are Only for trial,
so disbelieve not (by learning This magic from us)." and from These (angels) people learn that by
which they Cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not Thus harm anyone
except by Allh's Leave. and they learn that which harms them and profits them not. and indeed
they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share In the Hereafter. and How bad indeed
was
that
for
which
they
sold
their
ownselves,
if
they
but
knew.
[2: 102]

[113] and so the sorcerers came to Fir'aun (Pharaoh). they said: "Indeed there will be a (good)
reward for us if we are the victors." [114] He said: "Yes, and moreover You will (in that case) be of
the nearest (to me)."[115] they said: "O Msa (Moses)! either You throw (first), or shall we have
the (first) throw?"[116] He [Msa (Moses)] said: "Throw You (first)." so when they threw, they
bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them, and they displayed a great magic.
[117] and we inspired Msa (Moses) (saying): "Throw Your stick," and behold! it swallowed up
Straight away All the falsehoods which they showed.[118] Thus Truth was confirmed, and All that
they did was made of no effect.[119] so they were defeated there and then, and were returned
disgraced.[120] and the sorcerers fell down prostrate. [7: 113 - 119]

[79] and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring to Me Every well-versed sorcerer."[80] and when the
sorcerers came, Msa (Moses) said to them: "Cast down what You want to cast!" [81] Then when
they had cast down, Msa (Moses) said: "What You have brought is sorcery, Allh will surely make
it of no effect. Verily, Allh does not set Right the work of Al-Mufsidn (the evil-doers, corrupts,
etc.). [82] "And Allh will establish and make apparent the Truth by his words, however much the
Mujrimn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) may hate it." [10: 79 - 82]

[65] they said:"O Msa (Moses)! either You throw first or we be the first to throw?" [66] [Msa
(Moses)] said: "Nay, throw You (first)!" Then behold, their ropes and their sticks, by their magic,
appeared to Him as though they moved fast. [67] so Msa (Moses) conceived a fear In himself.
[68] we (Allh) said: "Fear not! surely, You will have the upper hand. [69] "And throw that which is
In Your Right hand! it will swallow up that which they have made. that which they have made is
Only a magician's trick, and the magician will never be successful, no matter whatever amount (of
skill) He may attain." [70] so the magicians fell down prostrate. they said: "We believe In the Lord
of Hrn (Aaron) and Msa (Moses)." [20: 65 - 70]

()

[76] those who believe, fight In the Cause of Allh, and those who disbelieve, fight In the Cause of
Tght (Satan, etc.). so fight You against the friends of Shaitn (Satan); ever feeble indeed is the
plot of Shaitn (Satan). [4: 76]
