Introduction
A SAMING PCGUARD maintains a computer in a perfect state of
operation. Simple to use and install, once installed, little or no
maintenance is required. It can protect Hard Drive and CMOS
data. Does not occupy any useable Hard Disk space.

The SAMING PCGUARD protects a Hard Drive and data from

intentional destruction or accidental mishap. It can prevent low
level formatting or repartitioning. Unlike most software based
restore or Recovery programs, it does not rely on the operating
system. It can restore a corrupted operating system. Even harmful
viruses can be removed by simply restarting the computer.

Once installed it can restore a saved configuration of the Hard

Drive or
partition in seconds. Prevents other users from changing any
system setup.

Different operating modes to suit different operating situations.

A simple network management program can control systems

installed
with an SAMING PCGUARD. Functions such asrestart client and
restore

workstations benefit form better productivity and lower down time.
NOTE:
Please read this manual fully to benefit the full functionality of the restore
card.
WHAT IS PC GUARD???

PC GUARD is a PCI card that stays resident in your

computer. It restores your Hard Disk to the original
working condition in less than 3 to 10 seconds.

... even if you do an accidental format of your disk in

dos mode...

Hard to believe?
Food for thought

You switch on your PC one morning, and found

that someone has deleted all your files.
You experiment with the installation of some
downloaded software and it results in a badly
damaged registry with tons of spy ware.
You accidentally delete a few files and also delete
them from your Recycle Bin.
You clicked on something you don't know, and this
activated a deadly virus.

With PC Guard simply Restart your PC. Done!

Important

A restore Card can only maintain or restore a pre-saved

configuration. It does NOT retrieve lost or deleted dataprior to
being installed.

It cannot retrieve data due to Hard Disk failure; therefore

important
data should always be backed up.

No liabilities are accepted for loss of data or damage rising

from the
misuse of a restore card.

Only the last saved configuration is restored. If you save a

configuration, the previous will no longer exist. Data thatis likely
to
change should be stored on removable media or a non-protected
partition.

The card should NOT be removed before it is uninstalled.Enter

the
management menu and select uninstall. If the card is removed
before it
is uninstalled, it may prevent the system booting to O/S.

If a password has been set, be sure not to forget or lose this
password.
Removing the card may prevent the system booting to O/S.
Before you install the card into a computer, it is recommended that
you
should do the following:

Backup all important data

Remove all unwanted files and data

Scan the Drive for viruses

Scan the Drive for errors

Defrag the Drive

Check and Set system BIOS

If you save a bad configuration you will only restore a bad configuration.
Accidental deletion of files
 Accidental shutdown
 Intentional manipulation of data
 Accidental formatting of hard disk (in DOS)
 Corruption by Viruses and Trojans
 Badly behaved applications
 Frequent change of settings by users

Do we have to remind you of the head aches you endure

with the above? ...
Fall in credibility and reliability with customer
Irreparable data loss
Several hundred productive man hours lost
Hundreds of Hours lost in service
Unproductive man hours aplenty

We know that you are not too happy with the above too!
How would you like a computer in your organization or
home, that eliminates …

Unauthorized deletion of files

Unauthorized writing of files
Hacking
Formatting of hard disk
Viruses playing havoc with data
Software related service calls
Are you able to VISUALIZE …

How much you could SAVE ?
