Prognosis IrregulareatingoreatingwheninahurryorworriedmaycausetheLiverQitorebeltowardsthe spleen.IftheLiverQiisnotsubduedandthespleencontinuestobeindeficiency,dampness mayensueduetothespleennottransformingandtransportingfluids.Thepatientmustbe instructedonhowonemustbeinarelaxedstatewhenoneeats,andtheimportanceofeating atregulartimeseachdayandnottoolate. Thereareconnectionsbetweentheunderlyingdysfunctionofthenervoussystemandthe subsequentmusculoskeletalsyndromesthatdevelop.Thiswouldmeanthatissueslike spondylosiscouldbeacauseofchronicpainsyndromes.Thissupersensitivityofthenervous systemcanextendedalsotoincludesweatglands,braincells,neurons,adrenalglands,etc. Thereleaseoftightandshortenedmusclesliketheparaspinalsbladdermeridiancanbe effectiveintreatingdisorderslikenausea.Onemightchooseatightpointthathappenstobeon Bladder14,whichfromaTCMstandpointalsohastheabilitytotreatnausea.[[#_ftn2|[2]]] PalpatoryFindings Weoftentimesdeveloprepetitivestraininjuryfromlifestyleandhabitualmovements.Ourbody respondsbydevelopingtightmusclesandtriggerpoints,whichoftencanreferpainandeven mimicinternaldysfunctions.Theseholdingspatternsareawayforthebodytoadaptandadjust totheconstantstrain. Triggerpointsontherectusabdominiscanreferpaintothemidback.Thesetriggerpointsmay causenasea,heartburn,fullness,andevenvomiting.Thesetriggerpointsmayseemlikea visceralissue,butoncethereactivetriggerpointsarereleasedthesymptomsshoulddissipate. Ifonedoesfindthesetriggerpoints,onecandeconstrainYangMing.
