Two are the types of engines that they stimulate to the vehicles, predominate over the engines to petrol and the diesel engines or gasoleros, since it is known also. Both have virtues and are more chosen one on other one according to the countries and the markets. There are sympathizers with some and of others. The diesel engine is a machine that gives very good service and in the last years wholesale efficiency has been perfected by fewer environmental pollution. The diesel engines serve very well for the transport of loads and public of persons, also for big machines. The history of both most common types of engines is exciting. They changed, as the plane, the development of the Civilization during the 20 century. The diesel engine delivers more torque and it makes it more efficient for the heavy transport. Nowadays it is possible also to develop many speed with the impulse of the diesel engine for what there are cars of walk and even Alta Gama's versions equipped with this type of engine. Now the diesel engine is more silent, clean and always it has consumed less than the engine to petrol, by what there has been understood that it can be less pollutant, in spite of his pollutant dirty emission. Undoubtedly someone a today diesel engine is very different from that of some years behind and from those who worked for many years. In Europe the diesel engine was chosen to move cars, not this way in the USA, where buses are destined for the transport of loads, the heavy machinery and also the public transport, for example. The major performance in the consumption of the diesel engine led to reducing the capacity of the tank of fuel in the production of some vehicles. The cost of a diesel engine can be major on having acquired it and the maintenance is lower but the repairs turn out to be more expensive. For it the

Dos son los tipos de motores que impulsan a los vehculos, predominan los motores a gasolina y los motores diesel o gasoleros, como se lo conoce tambin. Ambos tienen virtudes y son ms elegidos uno sobre otro segn los pases y los mercados. Hay simpatizantes de unos y de otros. El motor diesel es una mquina que presta muy buen servicio y en los ltimos aos se ha perfeccionado por mayor eficiencia con menos contaminacin ambiental. Los motores diesel sirven muy bien para el transporte de cargas y pblico de personas, tambin para grandes mquinas. La historia de los dos tipos ms comunes de motores es apasionante. Cambiaron, como el avin, el desarrollo de la Civilizacin durante el Siglo XX. El motor diesel entrega ms torque y eso lo hace ms eficiente para el transporte pesado. Actualmente es posible tambin desarrollar mucha velocidad con el impulso del motor diesel por lo que hay autos de paseo e incluso versiones de Alta Gama equipados con este tipo de motor. Ahora el motor diesel es ms silencioso, limpio y siempre ha consumido menos que el motor a gasolina, por lo que se ha entendido que puede ser menos contaminante, a pesar de sus emisiones contaminantes sucias. Sin duda alguna un motor diesel de hoy es muy diferente al de algunos aos atrs y a los que funcionaron durante muchos aos. En Europa el motor diesel fue elegido para mover automviles, no as en los EEUU, donde se destina para el transporte de cargas, la maquinaria pesada y tambin el transporte pblico, por ejemplo buses. El mayor rendimiento en el consumo del motor diesel llev a reducir la capacidad del tanque de combustible en la produccin de algunos vehculos. El costo de un motor diesel puede ser mayor al adquirirlo y el mantenimiento es ms bajo pero las reparaciones resultan ms caras. Por ello la ecuacin

cierra mejor en el transporte de cargas donde se movilizan productos costosos y en volumen, por lo que la amortizacin se facilita.

Hay ms avances en el futuro inmediato del motor diesel. La produccin japonesa desde los aos 70 ha contribuido a lograr motores ms compactos y eficientes. Los Estados Unidos han comenzado a cambiar en cuanto a la consideracin del motor diesel para impulsar automviles y la aceptacin de los modelos europeos, donde el gasolero es una opcin comn de mercado.
