Independently of the characteristic, national installation rules are applicable which define a maximum permissible rated current for the line cross section to be protected, taking into account the installation method. (IEC 60364 Erection of low voltage installations) Design and testing requirements are defined in IEC/EN 60898 (Circuit breakers for overcurrent protection for household and similar use) and in IEC/EN 60947-2 (Low voltage switchgear and control gear Part 2: Circuit breakers).
Rules
Suitable for any low voltage installation, both in residential and functional buildings, as well as in industry. Thanks to a variety of models and a wide range of accessories (e.g. auxiliary switches, busbars, shunt trip releases, and undervoltage releases) these devices meet the most diverse requirements of the different fields of application.

Miniature circuit breakers are mechanical switching devices serving the following purposes: 1. Disconnecting a circuit from the mains automatically when the current exceeds a specific maximum value 2. Connecting a circuit to the mains or disconnecting it by manual operation.
Function

Function
Overload a thermally delayed (bimetallic) release initiates the disconnecting process and separates the contacts. Short circuit - an electromagnetic instantaneous release (hammer armature) performs the disconnecting process and separates the contacts.

Internal tripping independently of toggle position guarantees proper tripping even in case the operating lever is blocked or held by the operator. Both releases work independently of each other.
