TEACHING EXPERIENCE RAND corporation is a non-profit (Think Tank) and as such its staff are assigned to various universities on a pr bona basis .as associate professors Dr Butterworth taught at UCLA Electrical Engineering Department for 6 years during 1980 -86 teaching Masters students In Communications Systems Design specializing in modulation techniques. Between 2002 2007 Dr Butterworth was a guest lecturer at Stamford, UCLA Waterloo Canada Washington state and Arizona Universities doing 4 lectures at each university each year. These lectures covered Anti Fraud systems and techniques related to financial systems. Homeland security systems covering sensors and sensor technology, sensor nets biometric techniques and Behavioral sciences applied to video surveillance This teaching was funded under a 5 year fellowship grant from DARPA to sponsor advanced Security Development at Engineering Universities.
