7.2.1 Operating When Set To Operation Mode 1

This operation type is identified with "Flow Display Disappears After 10 Sec." in the configuration software. The standard display shows the volume on the main meter. You can switch to other functions using the switching magnet. The display changes depending on how long you touch the "Display" button. Each display can be identified with the symbols in the identification window. If you touch the "Display" button for less than 1 second, the display switches temporarily to the flow display. This is indicated by the symbol "u under the lower left digit position. After 10 seconds, the display returns automatically to the main meter. If you touch the "Display" button between 1 to 2 seconds you move to the K factor and then to the display test. Then you return automatically to the main meter. If the switching magnet touches "Display" for more than 2 seconds, the return flow quantity meter, the malfunction quantity meter and the sum meter are shown. The display sequence ends with the display of the main meter. Touching the "Reset" button resets the main meter immediately and adds the number to the sum meter. At the same time the return flow and malfunction quantity meters are reset to zero.

The following diagram shows the operational sequence for operation type 1

Setting K factor: P-Key Programming key. The meter switches to the programming mode. The third identification field from the left is highlighted. The K factor and the decimal point are shown. The value of the digit, which is marked by the identification field, is increased by 1 when you push the key. The value of the digit, which is marked by the identification field, is reduced by 1 when you push the key. When you push the return key, the next digit to the right of the digit, which is presently marked, is marked by the identification field and can now be set.

+ (>) Key - (<) Key Return key

When all digits have been set, the K factor is accepted by pushing the return key again and the display then moves to the main meter. The last position of the identification field on the right is highlighted. You can now set the decimal point for the volume display.

Setting the decimal point: You can change the decimal point in the programming mode in the main meter using the + / - (> / <) keys. When you push the return key, the decimal point is accepted and the highlighting of the identification field disappears and the display is shown in its basic status. At the same time, the decimal points of the malfunction quantity meter and the return meter are changed along with the main meter.

Setting Meter to Zero: The simultaneous pushing of the + / - (> / <) keys in the basic status sets the display of the main meter, the return meter and the malfunction quantity meter to zero. At the same time, the sum meter, which cannot be erased, is increased internally by the amount in the main meter. This insures that no volume amount is lost.

8. Alarm and Warning Messages

Alarm and warning messages are shown, when the function "Reaction to Alarm and Warning" is activated. For meters with NAMUR power supply (AG4XEZD, AG5XEZD), if an alarm or warning message is shown on the LCD display, the corresponding alarm or warning output is switched to "low." The warning output (output 1 or output 3) is activated, if the output behavior is set to "Warning." The alarm and warning messages can be tested using the SensorPort program. Use the menu "Instrument/Self-test." The alarm and warning messages can be reset with the switching magnet by touching the "Display" button or through the serial interface with the SensorPort program. Use the menu "Instrument/Reset Meter," function "Delete Alarm and Warning Messages." After this, the display shows the return meter and the malfunction quantity meter for four times for two seconds each. The alarm and warning messages can also be deleted with the reset function "Reset all Meters" (R). Caution! This reset process erases all meter data.
