Main Lesson Aims (what you hope the learners will achieve or be able to do better after your lesson) Mothers will be able to book or reserve a room in a hotel

Materials: - Laptop - Data show - Worksheet

Prior Knowledge (Refer to what students already know/need or can do) Mothers may already know some of vocabulary like booking, room, hotel.

Language Problems: Mothers may be confused with using different ways of booking a room in a hotel.

Solutions: Provide a lot of opportunities to practice utilizing the various ways of reserving a room in a hotel.

Stage

Teacher (Activity and Language)

Engagement -Ts will ask the mothers to close their eyes, paly the sound of an airplane and ask them to imagine that they are travelling to London. Then, Ts will ask them to keep their eyes closed and think of the first place they would be going to after leaving the airport. After that Ts will display a picture of a hotel and ask the mothers to open their eyes. Here Ts will ask them questions e.g. Where you would go first when you enter the hotel?. -Ts will ask several questions and introduce vocabulary

Presentation -Ts will show the mothers the phrases they can use to make a reservation on the phone -Ts will model the conversation several times using different ways to the mothers. -These different ways are: 1. Making a reservation on the phone 2. Choosing the type of room 3. Asking for details about the room 4. Asking for details about the hotel -Ts will play the mingle game with the mothers and ask each pair standing together to practice the conversation. The tallest among them would be the receptionist and the shortest would be the customer. Then, they would exchange the role among them when they hear the bell.

Closing -Ts will assign the mothers some practice on what they have learned.
