ALL OUT WAR Week 4 Flame-Resistant Faith Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the

e time of evil, so that after the battle, you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. In every battle, you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan (Ephesians 6:13-16).

covers every part of the body, Helps us stand strong against the fiery darts. It protects us against the enemys attacks. If you faith shield is strong and steady, your life will be protected.
The Shield DEFENDING MY FAITH (What are fiery arrows?) Fear Lies Temptation Doubt Confusion Words DEFINING MY FAITH Belief - Accepting something as TRUTH Faith Giving your life to what you BELIEVE So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). Faith requires ACTION So you see, it isn't enough just to have faith. Faith that doesn't show itself by good deeds is no faith at allit is dead and useless (James 2:17).

Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory (Romans 5:1-2). Faith gives me . . . PEACE CONFIDENCE JOY SECURITY

DEEPENING MY FAITH If Im investigating my faith, I should: Start SMALL

Even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed," the Lord answered, "you could say to this mulberry tree, `May God uproot you and throw you into the sea,' and it would obey you! (Luke 17:6). If Im struggling with my faith, I should: Ask FOR HELP If Im sold out in my faith, I should: Remember Gods FAITHFULNESS But be sure to fear the LORD and sincerely worship him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you (1 Samuel 12:24). Believing isnt enough . . . you have to make THE DECISION to define, defend, and deepen your faith.

What Is Faith? As the Hebrew writer stated, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb. 11). That means that faith, simply put, is confidence and trust in something that we hope for but cannot see. We must believe in God and in Christ. We must base our faith on EVIDENCE. Our foundation should be that of a strong faith, able to produce fruits. Faith without ACTION is dead. James tells us that faith without works is dead. (James 2:17,20,26) [READ James 2:18-24] What is your faith causing you to do? Is your life full of the righteous actions that accompany faith? Dont let DECEPTION, DOUBT, FEAR AND CONFUSION shake your faith. Rely on God to make your faith strong. Ask him for help, and when you ask, expect to receive from Him.
