Comes Now the Attorney Pro Tem in the above styled and numbered causes and
presents that Craig Watkins, duly elected District Attorney for Dallas County, Texas, on
March 7, 2013, in Dallas County, Texas, was called as a witness in the above styled and
numbered causes. The said Craig Watkins, after being sworn as a witness, did refuse to
answer proper questions propounded to Craig Watkins. The Court, after ruling against
the Craig Watkins on his claim of privilege, directed the witness to answer the questions.
The said witness, Craig Watkins, did continue to refuse to answer the questions
propounded and continued to claim a privilege contrary to the Court's ruling, in direct and
willful defiance of the Court. Such action did thereby interrupt the business of the Court
and impair the respect due its authority. By refusing to answer the questions, Craig
Watkins did commit direct contempt of Court.
Notice of Contempt
WHEREFORE, PREMISES CONSIDERED, it is respectfully requested that the
Court set this matter for hearing.
