1. Test Procedure of SmartPTT general functionality 1.1. SmartPTT Radio Service status test
Presumable result SmartPTT Radioserver Configurator application is started. Comments
SmartPTT Radio Service status test # Actions Launch Radioserver Configurator: go to Start menu->All Programs1 >SmartPTT-> Radioserver Configurator Take a look at the main window of Radioserver Configurator. Make sure 2 that Service state is Started. If Service state is Stopped, click on Start button to start the Service.

Launch SmartPTT Dispatcher at the Dispatcher work station: go to Start menu->All Programs->SmartPTT-> SmartPTT Dispatcher.

Half-duplex communication is established between Dispatcher, Radio A and Radio B which are included to Group 1 (Group 1 is assigned to PTT button by default). In SmartPTT application you will see pop up Group Call Window in which event type (Emergency Call) and time are displayed.
Release PTT on the Radio A and press Radios A and B included to Group 1will hear Emergency Group call. PTT button in the Group Call Window. When call is ended, in subscriber panel click on right arrow to expand Slot 1 (channel) menu. SmartPTT turns off Emergency mode. Red channel highlighting goes off.

Specify Radio A ID or IP (depending on the subscriber ID input method) and select control stations which should be used to check the subscriber availability and click Send button. Switch off Radio A. Repeat actions from paragraphs 1-2.
Pop up call window is appeared in SmartPTT application. You will see information about subscriber availability: Subscriber is unavailable.

Blocking and unblocking radio by Dispatcher # 1 Actions In Subscriber Panel double click on Radio A to open Subscriber Call Window. In Call window click on Block Radio button to block the radio. Presumable result Radio A receives block command and it is turned to inactive mode. Radio is disabled. Nothing is displayed on its screen. Radio does not response to clicking actions and it does not revert to normal operating mode even if you power it down and then up. Radio A receives command to unblock the radio, and radio is reverted to normal operating mode. Comments
Go to menu of Radio A and select Messages->Write. Type text message, press OK and then Send. Select Dispatcher Contact Name (PC Contact or Private Contact) and press OK. In Subscriber Panel double click on Group 1 (in which Radio A, B and C are included) to open Group Call Window. In Text Message field type text message and press Send Button or Enter on your keyboard. In Subscriber Panel double click on Radio A to open Subscriber Call

Window. Click on Message button (which is near Send button) to open Send Message Window. Select Template and click on Send button.
In Subscriber Call Window you will see text of the message and delivery time. It means that text message is delivered to the Radio A.

In Subscriber Panel double click on Radio A (even if its in Offline List of subscribers) and select Create Deferred Action. 2 In Create Deferred Action Window click on Record button and start recording voice message. After you finish click on Stop button. Click on Save button to save recorded file as deferred action. Switch on Radio A. Audio message is recorded and saved. (To make sure that file is saved, go to Service>View deferred actions->select Radioserver and click on Load action list).
As soon as the Radio A registers in Online List of Subscribers, Loudspeaker of Radio A it will receive recorded file.
Deferred actions Text message # 1 Actions Switch off Radio A. In Subscriber Panel double click on Radio A (even if its in Offline List of subscribers) and select Create Deferred Action. 2 In Create Deferred Action Window tick Send text message field and type text. After you finish click on Save button. Note. Unselect Send Audio Message if you send only deferred text message. Switch on Radio A. As soon as the Radio A registers in Online List of Subscribers, message will be delivered to Radio A. Text message is saved. Phone Calls Test Procedure (IP Site Connect Network) 3.1. Private Phone Call initiated by phone subscriber
Actions Dial Radio A ID from the phone. If there is any Private Call Mask specified in Radioserver Configurator, first dial Private Mask and then Radio A ID.
Presumable result Loudspeaker of the Radio A produces the sound which notifies user about incoming phone call.
Comments
Two-way half-duplex communication is established between phone subscriber and Radio A. Connection between Radio A and phone subscriber is broken. Loudspeaker of the Radio A produces the busy tone which notifies radio subscriber that phone call is ended.
3.2.
Actions Dial Group ID (in which Radio A, B and C are included) from the phone. If there is any Group Call Mask specified in Radioserver Configurator, first dial Group Mask and then Group ID.
Presumable result Loudspeakers of the Radio A, Radio B and Radio C produce the sound which notifies users about incoming phone call.

Go to menu of Radio A and select Contacts->Manual Dial->Phone Number. Type phone number and press OK.

Actions In Subscriber Panel double click on Radio A to open Subscriber Call Window. Click on Call Telephone Subscriber and select Phone subscriber to connect. If there is no necessary phone number in the list of phone subscribers, click on Dial button and enter phone number. Then click Connect.
Presumable result Phone subscriber selected by Dispatcher hears incoming phone call tone. Loudspeaker of the Radio A informs about incoming Phone Call. On SmartPTT Dispatcher Console you will the current phone call status: Ringing.

Actions In SmartPTT Dispatcher application go to Settings->GPS Tick Save GPS Locations in Database. Click Finish.
Presumable result GPS Settings Window is opened. GPS Settings Window is closed. GPS information will be saved to database.

4.2. Receiving and Processing GPS Locations from Radio Subscriber Receiving and Processing GPS Locations from Radio Subscriber

Actions Provide GPS signal reception by Radio A. (Place the radio outdoor for some time or go outside with the radio) Sometimes it can take some time to receive GPS signal (about 10 minutes). In Subscriber Panel right-click on Radio A to open Subscriber Call Window and tick GPS Support and Show on Map (specify period of GPS location update). Click on Save button. In the main menu of SmartPTT Dispatcher go to Map->and open map to see subscriber on it.
Presumable result On the screen of the Radio A you will see filled satellite antenna sign. That means that radio receives and processes GPS signal. Subscriber Properties Window is closed. Radio A sends its location information according to GPS update time period. On the map you will see Radio icon with the actual GPS coordinates.

Presumable result On the map you will see Radio A icon with the current coordinates. If there are no valid GPS locations, then radio icon will be shown with the last received coordinates (saved in database).

In SmartPTT Dispatcher click on Event The system event log appears. Logs in the Main Menu bar and select All Events. Select several events which contain sound records and click on Play Selected Records button. Click on Go to next record button. Click on Return to previous record button. Click on Stop Playback button. Play Records Window opens. Recorded files are sorted by date. Automatically the first record is played. Dispatcher starts to play the second record. Dispatcher starts to play the first record. File playing stops.
