Settling into a comfortable pace on a leafy trail, paddling runoff-fueled rivers and sending routes at south-facing walls as soon as theyre dry. For the ambassadors and employees of Outdoor Research, these are just a few of the adventures were daydreaming about as temperatures rise and the days get longer. But were also thinking about roadtripping to bucket-list destinations, laughing with friends at backyard barbecues and lazy afternoons spent with our bare feet in the grass the relaxed, low-key moments that help make summer one of our favorite times of year. Our Spring 13 Mountain Life collection is made up of styles designed to take you to the trailhead, the put-in and the crag in warmer weather. But theyre just as comfortable strolling to a friends bonfire or kicking back on the deck at Shades Caf. Styles like our new mens Growler Shirt are made of wicking, technical fabrics that keep you cool on the sharp end of an afternoon climb, but look right at home celebrating with a cold one and a slice at Flatbread later that same day. Our new womens tank tops are similarly comfortable both on the rock, on the trail or on a blanket at a summertime bluegrass festival. Mountain Life is what we call our apparel thats built for everyday adventures. For us, that means it needs to be able to handle a bike commute, lunch-time bouldering session, afternoon meeting and happy hour at the local watering hole without missing a beat. The Growler Shirt is my favorite of the Outdoor Research woven shirts. It fits really well, and I throw it on for a day of cragging when I know Im going to need serious freedom of movement and breathability. Unlike some woven shirts, wearing the Growler doesn't make me feel like I am going to rip the shoulders apart when making a dynamic move while leading a climb.
