Product Description
CamiBOX is a professional modular system solution for wireless image transfer within the licence-free band designed for outdoor application.
The system is able to transmit data from a large number of IP cameras to a single recording device in small as well as large and segmented company facilities. Thanks to its variability and easy extensibility it is often used also as part of city CCTV systems. Its installation does not require any previous knowledge of data transmission in LAN networks. Therefore, CamiBOX can also be employed by companies that have installed CCTV systems that are based on analogue transmission. The entire transmission network has been designed and can be installed as a simple kit that consists of three basic modular elements: * Control unit M xed to a building, including a recording device. * Arbitrary number of client units C to which cameras are connected. * If these are not in direct view, S units are employed, serving as relay or connecting network points. The system is supplied pre-congured according to customers brief specications. It only needs to be installed and connected to IP cameras using an accompanying diagram. Location of the individual wireless connections during activation is facilitated by acoustic signalization of the signal quality. The resulting infrastructure allows for transmission of any type of IP data. This means that in addition to camera images, the network is able to transmit two-way audio, commands for Speed-Dome cameras or state values from sensors, etc. The correct design of an IP camera system requires only the support of the selected camera type with a recording device, and suf cient network throughput depending on the number of cameras while maintaining the required quality of image. CamiBOX is intended for outdoor use, the units are fully resistant to European weather conditions and temperatures and they do not require any additional covers or heating. The units are powered by means of the so-called Power Over Ethernet from a distribution network, batteries or solar panels. Maximum security, i. e. double security, of information transmission is ensured. The wireless transmission log is proprietary and at the same time provided with a strong encryption. It is therefore almost impossible for an unauthorized person to hack the wireless transmission and obtain the image transmitted. The range of individual wireless connections between the units covers hundreds of meters and it is suf cient for most applications, even in large facilities. City CCTV systems, which are able to monitor rather large areas, i.e. its individual connections exceed hundreds of meters, are complemented with additional cameras that, depending on their individual types, allow for connections covering dozens of kilometres. The system can also be rented, which is usually done by construction companies, providing for fast and cheap security of their entire construction sites for a temporary period of several weeks or months. Rentals with prospective purchase are arranged by companies that offer to their customers the possibility to test the entire solution in practice before purchasing the system and thus help them decide whether to employ it or not. Extra servicing can be ordered together with the system if customers require maximum availability of the service. This servicing ensures that in case a failure is reported a replacement for the fault unit is delivered to the site within several hours. By including CamiBOX in your projects you will ensure easy and quick installation as well as the satisfaction of your customers, who will be provided with a system which is seemingly impossible or dif cult to implement.

CamiBOX-C
The C (Client) input units are used on the network termination points. The C units are used as the input interface from IP devices, which can be any devices with an Ethernet output such as IP cameras or video converters, using Ethernet (LAN) outputs. The digit in the unit type designation states how many LAN inputs the C unit has, i.e. how many IP devices can be connected to the unit. The units have a single wireless interface. The conditions permitting, the wireless link is routed directly against unit M; an S unit may be inserted between units C and M in larger systems that do not provide direct visibility. In case of greater distances to the other side of the wireless connection, an antenna is supplied with unit C and can be attached to the unit with a coaxial cable. The cases in which a higher-gain, i.e. larger, antenna has to be used instead of the basic version of the integrated antenna are specied in the data sheet for additional antennas.

The S (Slave) repeater units are used as units merging multiple incoming routes into a single connection with the M unit. The incoming routes may be connections from other S and/or C units. The unit may also be used to reroute a single incoming link if direct connection cannot be established between neighbouring units, e. g. if the connection is to be performed round the corner of a building. The system may include multiple S units. Their number usually varies with the operating conditions and project size. It depends on the total number of cameras in the system and on the complexity of the environment. The Slave units may also be chained. In addition to its main function (ensure wireless communication with all the direct neighbour units),, this unit also enables the direct connection of IP devices (e. g. cameras, video converters or recorders) using Ethernet (LAN) inputs. The number of wireless routes is different in each version of the unit. Each S unit comprises a single wireless interface (WLAN1) set for connection with the M unit; in larger-scale systems, the connection may also be with another S unit. The digit in the type designation of the S unit states how many wireless routes the unit receive from. The lower versions of the S unit (the Compact design) include an integrated basic antenna while higher versions (Metal) do not have an integrated antenna. These differences are specied in the individual product sheets. Every additional wireless link which does not utilise an integrated antenna is carried out using an external antenna connected to a WLAN connector of the unit using a coaxial cable. Each basic version of the additional antenna, including the cable, is always supplied with the S unit. All the additional antennas are therefore already included under the ordering number and in the price of the unit, and as such they do not need to be ordered separately. The cases in which a higher-gain, i.e. larger, antenna needs to be used instead of the basic version of the integrated antenna are specied in the data sheet for additional antennas.

There is only a single M (Master) control unit in the CamiBOX system. It is placed at the top of the tree-type network structure, i.e. at the location where the recording or monitoring device is placed. All the wireless routes and data meet in this unit. It is possible to direct C units, S units and/or a combination of C and S units from various directions to the M unit. In addition to its main function (control of the entire CamiBOX network structure, and wireless communication with all the neighbour units), this unit also enables the direct connection of IP devices (e. g. cameras, video converters or recorders) using Ethernet (LAN) inputs. The number of wireless routes and of the LAN interfaces is different in each version of the M unit. The digit in the type designation of the M unit states how many wireless routes the unit receive from. The lower versions (the Compact design) include an integrated basic antenna while the higher versions (Metal) do not have an integrated antenna. These differences are specied in the individual product sheets.
